  • You clearly haven’t been frequenting the pubs I have in recent weeks!

  • People don't need to understand a song to enjoy it. (It was already a top 40 hit on its original release long before he had anything to do with the Super Bowl btw...)

Adele had 8 with 'Easy On Me' (albeit 1 gained due to ACR - so Olivia would have beaten that already)

Really annoyed this is the week So Easy has physicals especially since Sam's team are pushing Rein Me In. Hope Sam can overtake, ha'way!!

Those heart shaped vinyl doing wonders for ‘So Easy’ - they’ve long since sold out and guessing all have been accounted for in this update.

Official Charts Report

Grammy Award winning Olivia Dean is in pole position to secure her second Number 1 single with So Easy (To Fall In Love).

With the BRITs on the horizon, in which the 26-year-old is nominated for awards in five categories, the well-loved hit could join her maiden Number 1 Man I Need which she earnt last October.

So Easy (To Fall In Love) has been a constant in the Top 40, peaking at Number 3 in December 2025. Can the song now go all the way and become the star’s latest chart-topper?

2026 has already seen Olivia attain the accolade of longest running Number 1 album by a British female this decade with The Art of Loving, and she seems to be going from strength to strength with each passing week.

And it doesn’t stop there. Sam Fender and Dean’s team up Rein Me In is also battling for top spot, currently up three places (2). After equalling its charting highest position last week, the acclaimed tune is eyeing a possible first Number 1 single for the Geordie star.

Swedish pop idol Zara Larsson and Lush Life is set to equal its personal best spot, on track to move four (3). The song first claimed this place almost ten years ago, with a real full-circle moment possibly on the cards.

Moreover, Stateside from PinkPantheress and Zara may move one to a new peak following its debut entry inside the Top 10 last week (9).

sombr’s homewrecker is on track to rise six places, possibly earning the American his fourth Top 10 accomplishment (8).

Having freshly acquired a first Top 5 single with DtMF, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny may see movement for NUEVAYoL, up four places (11) as well as a potential highest new entry for 2022’s Tití Me Preguntó (15).

Milky’s Just The Way You Are is set to make more history, looking to elevate six places into the Top 20 as the remix courtesy of Mall Grab continues to win further admirers (17).

Elsewhere, Charli xcx may find three tracks from the Wuthering Heights soundtrack in Always Everywhere (24), Chains of Love (29) and Dying For You (32) make the Top 40. Chains of Love originally entered the charts in November at Number 26.

Following the surprise announcement of his upcoming album ALL ROADS LEAD TO HOME coming in March, Central Cee’s latest single from the project ICEMAN FREESTYLE, is set for another main chart entry (25).

Luke Combs and Be By You could be the American country sensation’s third Top 40 (26).

Fred again’s latest collaboration with Jamie T Lights Burn Dimmer is on for a Top 40 (30), possibly Jamie’s first since 2014.

Finally, breakthrough artist Bella Kay may find her banger iloveitiloveitiloveit soar further up the standings, following its Top 40 debut last week (36).

Icl id rather rein me in got to no1 just to make for a more interesting climb to the top spot, so easy is good though, in an ideal world it would be lush life

So Easy (To Fall In Love) is the lesser of three evils (the others being Rein Me In and DTMF). But it's all so random because of ACR.

Unusual sequence of #1s in 2026 getting there in double figures of weeks on chart, Harry aside:

15 weeks - Where Is My Husband!

28 weeks - End Of Beginning

13 weeks - Raindance

1 week - Aperture

15 weeks - Opalite

and next, assuming it's one of the First Look top 3, either 20, 36 or 70 weeks!

It will come down to how many physicals So Easy has shipped I guess.

Oh Olivia vinyls saving the day maybe cheeseblock I'd be much happier with 'So Easy (To Fall In Love)' getting the #1, although 'Rein Me In' might still just get there next week as well anyway. It's a great time to be Olivia Dean regardless (though you could have said that at pretty much any time in the last 8 months).

I presume 'DtMF' is not doing that well on Amazon (not quite sure where 'Opalite' is still doing well enough to still be ahead of it though) - guess top 3 is likely off the table now in any case. Yasss at 'Tití Me Preguntó' getting a First Look position and play, hopefully should be safe to stay in the top 40 for the week! I see it's now his second highest song on both Spotify and Apple.

Them now playing the original of Milky in the week that the remix is actually taking off, typical!

Yes, 'So Easy (To Fall In Love)' would also be continuing the pattern I pointed out earlier in the thread of #1s which went top 10 and dropped out before returning to rise to #1 for the first time (closely tied to this).

Go Olivia! So happy for her.

What's with all these artists needing upper case for album and single titles?! First Raye and now Central Cee???!

*RAYE kink

(it's been quite a common trend for a long time, RAYE is very far from being the 'first'! as has the opposite of all lower case titles x)
