Each week, new releases from the worlds of pop and country are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner. The winners will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year - at the end of each quarter and again at the end of the year - to determine the ultimate winner of 2026.

Way better than last week's poll! This song is much more like it from Jessie Ware after finding the lead underwhelming, the Ennio Morricone sample goes hard. Freya Ridings' song is not reinventing the wheel from her but doing her usual sound well. I feared the worst from the title of the Grace Ives song that it'd be another cringe thing like flowerovlove and Chloe Qisha (both of whom were cringe, as usual x) being unfamiliar with the artist but pleasantly surprised, really liked the production on that. Another cool song from Ella Boh as well and the Absolutely song is very pretty, not that different to the one that was in BJSC iirc but I am enjoying this one more. The Kyle song was also surprisingly interesting after not being a fan of his Eurovision track. Robin and Greyson are both fine. This Hilary Duff song was better than the previous one I guess but I am still not seeing what is so interesting about her comeback. Alexander Stewart do be a random twink ballad.
