So what I'm seeing is, most of those weren't UK releases anyway kink (a lot of those were just delayed release dates for the vinyl original releases!)

Oh her inventing new variants every week is of course a different story. But she's an anomaly there being able to sell the same album to same people in several separate occasions. I highly doubt that

It was meant to be released on vinyl, CD etc with multiple bundles - they’ve literally pulled it at the last minute!

They must have already been pressed this close to release date so it’s mad that they’ve pulled them from his store, plus HMV and Amazon!

Surely that's only going to lose them.a ton of money?

Agreed, even if pre-orders were terrible surely it’s better to get the product out there?

I remember when they pulled the HRVY album a week before release too and everything was ready to go! (The signed vinyl can be found for £6 on eBay now 🤣)

So country exclusives make it better if anything it makes it worse 🤭

I thought I read a couple of weeks back that the physical release had been delayed until like August or something? Maybe I'm imagining that idk

Again though, it was the original vinyl release delayed - there were significant delays in the vinyl production plants a few years back so many vinyl releases came a bit later. They're not deliberately staggered variants, it's not the same thing.

So still staggered then , doesnt matter if it was intentional or not a staggered release is a staggered release

Obviously not the same thing as Taylor's releases though (and this isn't even me criticising Taylor)

You asked a question i answered it , facts are facts whether it was intentional or not

Context is everything though, but that doesn't suit the narrative you're keen to push kink

What agenda pointing out other artists play the variant game 🤭

Nobody's denied that aspect though...! A little confused at what you're actually trying to prove here...

I realise this is a chat about sales/streaming etc but I would like to point out Confessions II is an absolutely fantastic album. Her best for decades.

I think he is just trying to prove that Taylor gets slated for the game far more than anyone else does. She does always come Up in these discussions but then she plays the game far smarter than anyone else.

You’re both right in different ways. ❤️ Now kiss and make up! 🥰😎

Friday gone funnel official chart rein me in get 16 week number 1 for average song should not got this far

Shame Seventeen Going Under didn’t have this run as it’s much better and from what I’ve heard, Seventeen Going Under is actually the bigger seller so far but Rein Me In will soon overtake Seventeen Going Under in terms of total sales

Variants are here to stay and we just need to accept it , olivia rodrigo had 11 phyiscal variants in week 1 but people gloss over that because her streaming numbers keep her up there anyway

Besides noones forced to buy every variant its a personal choice, buy multiple or dont just use the same energy with all artists dont pick and choose who its ok for and who its not because "you dont like them"

It's a shame you've never applied this logic to Kylie whenever she's released a new album. You're always quick to point out her total number of variants and bundles. I guess it's different now that the shoe is on the other foot.

I'm not criticising Madonna for playing the game. Fair play to her. I'm pointing out her fans' hypocrisy after they have spent years posting snide remarks about other artists who have never come close to releasing 22 variants of one album. Now, suddenly, the same fans are twisting themselves into knots trying to backtrack. Maybe they should wind their necks in a little bit in the future. It’s just pop music at the end of the day. Confessions II will debut with great sales, just enjoy it. It's going to be an exciting week.

It's better than Wet Wet Wet, Drake and Bryan Adams so it may as well have the record at this point

I’ll give you Drake. If Rein Me In does get the record, then Last Christmas should overtake in a few years time. Saying that, I reckon Sam Fender or his label will beg OCC to remove Christmas songs from the singles chart so they can keep the record
