I didn’t expect it to sound like Air in so many places. Fab 🖤This whole era is so to my taste too. She's The Best was instant love, Party hasn't left my head for weeks. The album is sonically so lush in parts. Le Boy <3 Gives me strong Air vibes indeed, that outro melody is very dreamy and reminds me of Make It Right by Christian Falk.FF is decent, my least favourite of the three singles so far but I can see why he's gone with it after criticisms for the 'talky' songs.
Friday at 14:185 days 'Le Boy' is my first listen favourite so I'm pleased to see that getting some love here 🤩 it took my breath away. Some wonderful production touches throughout, like the flutes on 'Troye Meets World' and those gorgeous strings on 'Love So Big It Hurts'. The closer was right up my street too, with the trip-hop production, breathy French vocals and vocoder, like Air meets ROSALÍA's 'Dolerme' with those choices.fab stuff, even party in the bush is growing on me in the context of the album
Friday at 17:095 days I like it but don't love it nearly as much as Something To Give Each Other. Canada Dry, Party and Troye Meets World are my favourites! All together, the album is a 6/10.
Friday at 17:115 days Another very solid album from him. Glad he has found his lane and everything sounds so smooth and pleasant even when the songs itself are not spectacular.

There are moments where his vocals are almost Perfume Genius or Sufjan adjacent 🖤I do love a Madonna stan popstar. Canada Dry is very Impressive Instant, and Cowboy is almost like an ode to Don't Tell Me, those atmospheric strings with the Ray of Light guitar riff. Big swoonWe need a big gay Cowboy video asap Troye x
Saturday at 19:494 days Definitely prefer his last album but this is still really good! I did feel like the ballads kinda sounded samey but they were all really good so I don’t care too much, my only gripes are the vocal effects on Troye Meets Word & Lost Time, otherwise I’d like both so much more. Also the title track has grown on me SO much & I’m thrilled!!My favourites were Embarrassingly, Canada Dry & Cowboy
Sunday at 08:563 days This is another solid album from him. I do think Blue Neighbourhood was his peak (obviously) and everything since has grabbed me very slightly less but there's no doubting his talent in crafting an album that is personal, an entire mood and totally authentic.Early favourites are Canada Dry and Troye Meets World. The title track remains supreme too and no one can change my mind on that~
Sunday at 17:593 days I've given it a bit and listened to this a few times now. I do think it's his weakest project to date and that now we've entered this 'phase' we're unlikely to ever get the Troye of albums 1-3 back. That said, it's criminal just how poorly She's the Best and Party represent the album as a whole because there is a lot to enjoy. The two worst single choices they could've made particularly with Canada Dry right there (a bop!). I'm warming to Party more now, but She's the Best definitely should've been left as an album opener or closer. Feels like they didn't have any faith in the commerciality of the rest of the album so just threw out the title track and the sample.Embarrassingly, Le Boy and FF are gorgeous Troye Meets World very fun too x
Monday at 09:142 days I'm not really sure why everyone is moaning about She's The Best & Party as non-representation of the album - She's The Best and I Do This For You are quite sonically similiar. Also Rush sounded like nothing else on his previous album. He normally goes for singles that don't suit the sonic sound of his albums as their usually quite midtempo. I'm in love with Embarrassingly.
Tuesday at 20:021 day In the same boat as Calum, more or less.I don’t dislike the album as much as I feared I would by the two singles (STB has a certain charm to it and I think I’m actually growing to appreciate it but Party is a no for me)‘FF’ is STUNNING though. I need to watch the video but that’s a really gorgeous song. I also liked ‘Canada Dry’, ‘Embarrassingly’ & ‘Troye Meets World’ on my first listen through. The rest were ok but I’ll need more listens to those to properly aquaint myself with those tracks.I didn’t “love” ‘Bloom’ album immediately either but I grew to ADORE that so I am hoping it’s a similar situation tbh.I have a lot of time for Troye so won’t be giving up on this album easily.
15 hours ago15 hr The album's alright, probably not something I'll be returning to that often, but 'Canada Dry' definitely needs to be a single!
