Dolly is absolutely dominating the Amazon charts at the moment, there are numerous versions in the charts of various greatest hits albums

Very sad circumstances but it would be great to see Dolly achieving a U.K. #1 single under her own name in the coming weeks, after Whitney’s version of ‘I Will Always Love You’ got there and also that Comic Relief version of ‘Islands in the Stream’.

Sheena Easton changed the title of 9 To 5 when released in the US to "Morning train ( Nine To Five )" so as not to be confused with Dolly's 9 To 5 even though it's a different song.

I was brought up with Dolly records in the 80s and 90s as my parents are Boomers. It's so strange that she was so popular in the UK without much of a track record on the charts here. The internet doesn't seem to be able to tell me much about how she was so popular without the corresponding sales. I know there was some kind of country boom in the mid 70s here, including a multi-act concert at Wembley Arena in 1975 that was Dolly's first step on British soil, but beyond that I'm stumped.
