Surely one of the biggest "hits" of the sales era never to have charted.Around 2.5M so far. 9 To 5 only peaking at #47 is even more surprising considering it peaked at #2 on the radio airplay chart back in 1981:09.03.1981AIRPLAYRATINGSALES07.03.81126Kiki DeeStar7627 (40)210Dolly Parton9 To 57560 (54)33Roxy MusicJealous Guy733 (6)47The Stray CatsRock This Town7112 (11)59The PretendersMessage Of Love7119 (15)623Phil CollinsI Missed Again6945 (New)714Status QuoSomething 'Bout You Baby I Like679 (19)84Elvis PresleyGuitar Man {1981}6753 (45)912FreeezSouthern Freeez668 (9)1013Talking HeadsOnce In A Lifetime6514 (24)

Yesterday at 12:381 day I would personally LOVE for Faith to make some sort of resurgence as it’s my favourite thing she’s put her name to, an absolute banger! I don’t think it would happen in any way though.
Yesterday at 13:101 day She's recorded a song with Galantis & Mr Probz?! Talk about an unlikely collab! Will have to check that one out.

Yesterday at 13:431 day Dolly should have won the Oscar for Travelin' Thru. Edited yesterday at 13:431 day by Nightingale
Yesterday at 13:551 day Dolly is absolutely dominating the Amazon charts at the moment, there are numerous versions in the charts of various greatest hits albums
Yesterday at 14:051 day Very sad circumstances but it would be great to see Dolly achieving a U.K. #1 single under her own name in the coming weeks, after Whitney’s version of ‘I Will Always Love You’ got there and also that Comic Relief version of ‘Islands in the Stream’. Fingers crossed ❤️
Yesterday at 14:201 day The Ordinary Boys vs Lady Sovereign's 'Nine2Five' outpeaking not only Dolly's '9 to 5' but everything else she released is a statistic that could do with changing. (Sheena Easton's '9 to 5' did too, but to be fair that came out first.)

Yesterday at 15:281 day I would say yesterday's news was massive, I would say probably as an impact as the passing of Michael Jackson.

Yesterday at 15:341 day I was brought up with Dolly records in the 80s and 90s as my parents are Boomers. It's so strange that she was so popular in the UK without much of a track record on the charts here. The internet doesn't seem to be able to tell me much about how she was so popular without the corresponding sales. I know there was some kind of country boom in the mid 70s here, including a multi-act concert at Wembley Arena in 1975 that was Dolly's first step on British soil, but beyond that I'm stumped. They took the wrong 80-year-old.RIP Queen Dolly 🏳️🌈 IWALY
Yesterday at 15:481 day I think she is as popular if not more for her personality and her non-music activity as she is for her actual music.
Yesterday at 17:051 day Marianne still top twenty (#16) on the Wednesday midweek singles - looks like it might hold onto a top twenty debut!PARTYNEXTDOOR's down to #33 now, while Satisfy looks like it might actually hold on and break the top forty this week (#31).
