Me watching all four artists that I considered for this being sent

But no seriously, I thought the females were stacked last time but I think they’re even MORE to my taste this time - voting each round is gonna be a bloodbath and I think we’ll lose people that we expected to go far a loooot sooner than expected due to the competition.

I know this sounds ridiculous but I genuinely didn’t even think about British acts when I saw the theme, I was just thinking about the rest of Europe so people like Adele, Sam Smith and that are fun inclusions that I hadn’t considered. Can’t wait for this to begin again ❤️

The females are going to have to play all their cards quite early just to stay in... leaving the path clear for Damien Rice, Depeche Mode and the Vengaboys to romp to the final!

I am genuinely SHOCKED there is no Will Young!?!?!? I thought he would be a sure fire shot for this contest, also Gabrielle I thought was going to turn up (but perhaps she lost out due to the female category being filled so quickly), also no Beatles or Queen!? Some massive acts not included which has really surprised me. Also a fair few smaller act (for me anyway) who I think could be really interesting to watch. This is going to be fun!

I've posted a thought on every entry (so unlike me to have so much to say)! 🤭

Agnes – I feel like she will do really well, she fits the buzzjack crowd.

Years & Years – some decent songs they could do well.

Bananarama – a great act, I do feel they might struggle if there is say a ballads week perhaps?

Lewis Capaldi – brave choice for this forum, only Ed would be braver lol.

Tove Lo – don’t know her?  Lol I do but not the music so shall be interesting to discover

Tom Grennan -just send pics of him shirtless and he’ll get my votes oops.

Fontaines DC and Damien Rice – nice to Ireland represented.

Jessie Ware – she could do very well if played right!

Bladee – shall be interested to learn more?

Dead or Alive – Very interesting choice, there are other 80s acts I’m surprised not to see over them Culture Club, Human League, Adam & the Ants, Frankie, Soft Cell feel like they would all have done better perhaps?  Some good songs though so who knows!

Roosevelt – Again never heard of this one?

Dido – I love Dido and she has some iconic but also hidden gems, could do very well if played right!

M83 – what the frick is that???

Depeche Mode – Great to see diversity, they could be a surprise actually some very

decent tracks.

Gary Newman – Hmmm not the biggest fan but he does have some tunes!

Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Icon tbh, I expect her to do very well!

Marina – Another who could do well, gosh some interesting choices in this!

Calvin – So someone did go for the DJ, could be a very smart choice but could also backfire as some might not be inclined to vote for We found love for instance as a Rihanna track, would it be allowed?… I’m interested to see how this one goes.

New Order – Again such a variety of acts!!

Robyn – I knew she would pop up lol, I bet she does very well

I am who I am – Who is she? Lol

Sam Fender – Loooool coming to give RMI a boost and get it back to #1? Haha

Sade – Veeeery interesting choice!

Sam Smith – What category are they in?  I considered them but didn’t think they would be allowed due to being non-binary.  Interesting, some beautiful songs and a bit of variety too, could do very well.

Vengaboys – OMG yessss, can’t wait to see them slaaaay!

Leona Lewis – She won Season 3 of X Factor, now to win Season 3 of Pop Factor???

Ultravox – Not as keen but good to see variety

Darin – Gooooorgeous!  Lovely choice.

Mackenzie Mackay – I don’t see him doing too well tbh but I don’t know much so shall be interesting to see.

Kate Bush – Brilliant choice, a real contender for the top spot, and deservedly so!  Dandy!!!! Your comment!!! :o

Milica – Genuinely never heard of her?

HRVY – I am genuinely surprised he has 14 songs lol… BuzzJack Twink I guess.

Texas – Omg yes, Red Book representation pleeeeease!!!

Adele – I did wonder if she was going to make an appearance, was getting a little surprised not to see her come up!

Zara – I’m confused is there an extra female?  She should do VERY well.

Judging by the above rule, I didn't think Oasis would be considered "pop" enough? Which is why I was surprised to see Fontaines D.C.!

The women and groups categories both seem very stacked (really hard to call anyone being a first round exit for the latter, the women at least have the one that stands out as a likely sacrificial lamb just for being very obscure compared to the rest, though of course hoping we will all be giving everyone a chance xx). The men not so much but still some good choices there (we stan the old man again). x

Although... I think we are missing a group? I see 12 each of men and women but only 11 groups. You posted everyone in pairs except Dido so maybe there was meant to be another act in that post?

unironically though I actually also didn't know iamamiwhoami was a group, I guess it now makes more sense why Jonna also released music under the name ionnalee, I thought that was just a rebrand x

I'd argue that Calvin Harris is even less "pop" than Fontaines D.C.

Then again, we had Fred again.. last time around.
