Good to see Tove Lo getting her reset now but oops at her just missing the top 40 even so - courtesy of a third reset in the span of two years for 'Don't Look Back In Anger' of course (that and TLC, I was thinking that song's resurgence was pretty much entirely just hallucinated by Spotify autoplay algorithm but fair if it is another one tied to a film).

Happy enough to see Ashe going top 10, I don't super love the song but it's pretty good and we take any fresh hits we can get. (Again, not you Alyssa). And 'Die On This Hill' kicking 'Loser' out of the top 10 I support also. x

I've not heard 'Nicole Kidman' in full yet but the short clip of it from Billboard Breakdown already sounded better than 'Ain't In LA' for me.

Yay for Ezra Collective getting their #1 album ❤️ I heard their cover of Bad Bunny's 'NUEVAYoL' from the Live Lounge on Radio 1 today and it was so joyful. Really liked the single with Pa Salieu from this album too.

French Montana was born in Morocco! (As was RedOne although I don't think he's ever charted as an artist, but of course several big hits as a producer). Indeed pretty cool to see Faouzia getting a breakthrough hit though. I've not heard this song but 'DON'T EVER LEAVE ME' from the same album is fantastic.

Unethical is gorgeous, but I'd rather had more uptempo song from her great album going viral. But it's sign of the times, it's just easiest to get a hit with a ballad these days.

Back in the early ‘90s, TLC were at the forefront of a revolution, carving out a previously undefined space that landed somewhere between rap and neo-R&B. Before they paved a lane for a new generation of stars that included Destiny's Child and Ashanti, the Atlanta-bred trio of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas nabbed a spot on L.A. Reid’s LaFace Records. Their sound on early hits like “What About Your Friends” updated new jack swing for the ‘90s rap generation, and their choreographed dance moves were bested only by their colourful matching outfits. TLC’s colossally replayable hits, like “Creep”, “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs,” continue to crop up in movies and on the radio, while their second LP, CrazySexyCool, has been certified 12-times platinum. That album featured production from Sean “Puffy” Combs and Jermaine Dupri, giving the group head-nodding beats over which they could move from rapping to singing with ease. Although the band’s last release as a trio came in 2002, the year Lopes was tragically killed in a car crash, TLC remained one of the best-selling female-led groups through the 2010s. Ultimately, it would be another 15 years before T-Boz and Chilli released new music, with 2017's self-titled return, a nostalgic, rose-tinted audit of the styles that made them so successful the first time around. Just thought to myself that if this was 1999, No Scrubs would have come out in 1972 then got a little cold flush of terror.

I'm sure a lot of people of a similar vintage (I was 16 when it was first released) feel the same way!

Timeless tune though.
