I had a hunch Christina would be Scene lol. Good to see that guess proved correct.

Thanks for the votes so far!

Peter Gabriel was first heard as the lead singer of Genesis who released their debut single 'The Silent Sun' in 1968. Having left the group, he put out his first solo album in 1977. Signal To Noise is taken from Peter's 2002 album 'Up' and features additional vocals from the Pakistani singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan which were taken from a live performance of the song in 1996, he died a year later.

For my own vote, I've put the two songs I knew first and second with Little Motel being the best discovery.

12pts Sophie B Hawkins - Soul Lover
10 Unkle - Hold My Hand
8 Modest Mouse - Little Motel
7 Charlotte Martin - 12 Years
6 Bruce Springsteen - Land Of Hope And Dreams
5 Trance To The Sun - Sleeping With The Natives
4 Sweet Trip - Milk
3 Neneh Cherry - Kong
2 Kate Bush - Mrs. Bartolozzi
1 Kaku P-Model - Shagan Daishi

Missing out: Aqua, David Byrne and Fatboy Slim featuring Florence Welch, Cosmic Gate and Jason Ross, Cusco

I mean I did predict Sophie B based off the sesh chat but Peter Gabriel was the obvious choice before that for Rollo so surprised I'm not haha!

Swedish singer Robyn released her debut album 'Robyn Is Here' in 1995. She has already won a poll I hosted earlier this year with 'Dancing On My Own' being voted as the forum's favourite UK number 8 single. Ever Again appeared on Robyn's 2018 album 'Honey' and came out as a single the following year.

Here are my votes firefighter towards Bop Idol 8.

A VERY close race for the top spot but I have made up my mind...

12pts - Matchbox Twenty - Put Your Hands Up

10pts - Modest Mouse - Little Motel

8pts - RuPaul - Glamazon - Had this been "The Beginning" it would have been the easiest 12 here!

7pts - Blink-182 - Ghost On The Dance Floor

6pts - Kate Bush - Mrs. Bartolozzi

5pts - Ace Of Base - Unspeakable

4pts - Cher - Woman's World

3pts - David Byrne and Fatboy Slim featuring Florence Welch - Here Lies Love

2pts - Axwell - Center Of The Universe

1pt - Within Temptation featuring Tarja - Paradise (What About Us?)

Good luck everyone and thank you for hosting

Sophie B. Hawkins was my guess for Rollo but a 12 for her is close enough. Peter Gabriel makes a lot of sense, great pick.

Happy to have points from our hosts!

Funnily enough it was a toss up between the two

I just wanted to send something camp and stupid so I thought Glamazon fit the bill more
