December 23, 200916 yr Hmm, so the top 20 is.... 1 Joe 2 Rage 3 GaGa 4 Cheryl 5 Peter 6 3OH!3 7 BEP 8 Journey 9 RiRi 10 Robbie 11 Ke$ha 12 Alicia 13 Pogues/Kirsty 14 Timbo 15 Chez FFTL 16 Chippy 17 JDR 18 XFF 19 Mariah 20 Jaylicia Correctemundo :)
December 23, 200916 yr 3OH!3 MUST go top 3 eventually! :( Bugger off Peter!! Everyone I know hates that CIN song with a vengence and with its abismal performance on itunes ( don't think its in the top 100? could be out of top 200? ) it really suprises me that its hanging around for soooo long. Children in need singles always fall fast and I thought theres only so much DVD and physical sales can do! I really wish it would go away too. :( EDIT : 109 on itunes. December 23, 200916 yr Peter is still hanging around because the DVD is a very effective stocking filler after xmas - Joe, Peter and XFF's physical sales will drastically drop off and the download hits will start to strengthen with the iTunes gift card effect
December 23, 200916 yr Author after xmas - Joe, Peter and XFF's physical sales will drastically drop off and the download hits will start to strengthen with the iTunes gift card effect That dreaded iTunes gift card will certainly change the chart next week completely, shame there won't be no mids on MW to find out
December 23, 200916 yr I'm happy for Cheryl being in the Top 5, I hope it gets to #1 at some point  Hopefully not, it's a dreadful song.
December 23, 200916 yr The Sun's article on Cheryl was amusing. It described the potential position of #7 or #8 as "Absolutely tanking, struggle, terrible result, big disappointment!". Just shows as soon as something isn't a huge #1, the press like to write an article that brings her down. I bet they'd probably have written the same article even if they had known the true position of #4.
December 23, 200916 yr Joe may have missed the Christmas number one, but he'll get the title for "last number 1 od the decade", and I think it's more impressive actually :o
December 23, 200916 yr Radio 1 better be doing the weekly chart on Sunday, it breaks momentum when they do the chart of the year instead.
December 23, 200916 yr Joe may have missed the Christmas number one, but he'll get the title for "last number 1 od the decade", and I think it's more impressive actually :o Joining this list: Westlife - I Have A Dream/Seasons In The Sun (Last #1 of 1990s) Band Aid II - Do They Know It's Christmas? (Last #1 of 1980s) Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall [Part 2] (Last #1 of 1970s) Rolf Harris - Two Little Boys (Last #1 of 1960s) Emile Ford and The Checkmates - What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes At Me For? (Last #1 of 1950s) Joe being the last #1 of the 2000s would be very fitting, given the rise and success of the reality TV show format.
December 23, 200916 yr Is there absolutely no chance that Lady Gaga could pip Joe to the No 1 spot, his song is worse than drivel.I am sure it is Simon Cowell buying up extra copies.
December 23, 200916 yr Is there absolutely no chance that Lady Gaga could pip Joe to the No 1 spot, his song is worse than drivel.I am sure it is Simon Cowell buying up extra copies. That would be AMAZING, but it wont happen :( :/
December 23, 200916 yr Unless there's any big releases I'm forgetting then I think it's possible she'll re-claim #1 in the new year?
December 23, 200916 yr Unless there's any big releases I'm forgetting then I think it's possible she'll re-claim #1 in the new year? Wiley will be #1 next week I'm pretty sure Wiley's digital lead will be massive enough to overcome Joe's physicals
December 23, 200916 yr Everyone I know hates that CIN song with a vengence and with its abismal performance on itunes ( don't think its in the top 100? could be out of top 200? ) it really suprises me that its hanging around for soooo long. Children in need singles always fall fast and I thought theres only so much DVD and physical sales can do! I really wish it would go away too. :( EDIT : 109 on itunes. personally I think its actually not a bad song, and one of the best videos I have seen in ages, so I'm glad its still doing well Anyway, I'm happy for Joe to be number 1 now, because the job is done- rage was number 1 at christmas and X factor wasn't, Joe can take number 1 now
December 23, 200916 yr Joe may have missed the Christmas number one, but he'll get the title for "last number 1 od the decade", and I think it's more impressive actually :o Actually, no. The chart will officially be dated 2nd January 2010, so Joe would be the first Number One of the 2010s. The Guinness Hit Singles book always lists the Christmas chart as the last chart of the year. :) (For example, Iron Maiden's Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter is the first Number One of 1991, despite being announced at the top in December 1990; Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls is the first Number One of 1999, despite being announced at the the top in December 1998 etc...) December 23, 200916 yr Wiley will be #1 next week I'm pretty sure Wiley's digital lead will be massive enough to overcome Joe's physicals plus after xmas Joe's physicals will plummet this week - Joe next week - Wiley week after - Sidney Samson
December 23, 200916 yr plus after xmas Joe's physicals will plummet this week - Joe next week - Wiley week after - Sidney Samson Oh no, i pray to God they are not #1 :puke2: We've already had RATM at #1 and that was bad enough :puke2:
