September 11, 201114 yr Annoyed that Rolling In The Deep is bound to outsell On The Floor now  I'm not, since it's a better song imo. :kink: Promises. So glad this got to #1.
September 11, 201114 yr What a crap chart run and the non number one of 2011. Has Cher left the top 40 then after the same number of weeks?
September 11, 201114 yr So we most certainly have our Once and Dirtee Disco's of this year in Swagger Jagger and Promises - 5 weeks top 40 for each :o
September 11, 201114 yr What a crap chart run and the non number one of 2011. Agreed. Don't dislike it, but it's probably their worst single so far and it's done abysmally.
September 11, 201114 yr Umm.. oh dear at Nero. :( It deserved a lot better than that. I still hear it loads, so it's not like the airplay's dried up or anything.
September 11, 201114 yr 36 [22] // Nero - Promises [5th week] [1-5-13-22-36] from the album Welcome Reality 37 [30] // Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory [18th week] [6-6-18-23-28-16-8-7-11-13-14-23-28-30-34-26-30-37] from the album Born This Way 38 [67] // Nicki Minaj feat. Rihanna - Fly [2nd week {1st top 40}] [67-38] from the album Pink Friday 39 [34] // Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) [13th week] [24-11-9-9-10-10-9-12-15-20-30-34-39] from the album Teenage Dream 40 [49] // Adele - Rolling In The Deep [34th week {23rd top 40}] [2-3-4-5-4-4-5-9-8-9-15-16-16-22-26-27-33-34-26-31-37-41-44-45-43-47-36-51-44-45-50-52-49-40] from the album 21 This is a disaster, it's going to drop out next week isn't it... then it'll equal the number weeks 'Guilt' had in the top 40 with a #8 peak and be 2 less weeks than Me And You with a #15 peak  It probably won't even match the sales of those 2! Ah well, at least it got #1... :( Edited September 11, 201114 yr by Bré
September 11, 201114 yr I'm not surprised at this chart run. I can never remember how the song goes it's so unmemorable for a no.1. On the other hand, I take it Swagger Jagger is gone?
September 11, 201114 yr That's the first time I've heard "Fly" and was waiting for it to actually go somewhere, then it sounds like Reggie cut it short. Agree with the previous poster about Rihanna having trouble on some of the notes though, and that's the first time I can say that.
September 11, 201114 yr Interestingly Joe McElderry has tweeted this Woop!! Exciting chart position this week!! Listen out for it :D xx

September 11, 201114 yr No. Chasing Cars came out after Mar/April 06 change - you are confusing the rule change in Jan 07 when the rule of removing songs a week after the physical was deleted was removed. indeed thats what i was thinking of...sorry for the mix up!!
September 11, 201114 yr Interestingly Joe McElderry has tweeted this How nice of him not to give spoilers
September 11, 201114 yr How long did the other Nero singles spend in the chart for comparison? Guilt did 5 weeks if I'm correct Edit - it says in Bre's post Edited September 11, 201114 yr by danielXF
September 11, 201114 yr How long did the other Nero singles spend in the chart for comparison? Guilt did 5 weeks if I'm correct Someone said Me & You did 7 weeks. I'd personally take the chart run of Promises over the chart run of Guilt any day!
September 11, 201114 yr This has had quite a sharp decline aswell, well at least since leaving the top 10. Still, it has sold very well so I suppose it doesn't really matter.
September 11, 201114 yr Author indeed thats what i was thinking of...sorry for the mix up!! Its ok, these things can be confusing.
