You're right, I wouldn't have expected it from you! I like the top 2 for 2010, "Forget You" is beginning to be fun again now I've stopped hearing it EVERYWHERE and I've grown to tolerate "Just The Way You Are" as it's now no longer the sappy love song of choice for people sending Youtube links to their boy/girlfriends over Facebook. However, the top 2 in 2006 is pretty much the best I've ever seen. As I probably said last week :lol: I pine for the day when two songs like "...Black Parade" and "America" can have something resembling a chart battle when it's for a meaningful position.

 

Yeah, I do like a lot of Cee-Lo Green songs. I mean, he's worked with so many rappers I've liked over the years. Then he has a mainstream hit, and it sounds like THAT. :( Such a shame (well, for me, everybody else likes it :lol:). Bruno Mars aswell. I didn't mind Nothin' on You and Billionaire. I wouldn't have thought I'd hate a Bruno Mars song so much...until I heard it. :lol:

 

The chart music scene has changed so much. I just couldn't imagine a top 2 like 2006's happening now, however hard I try. I wonder if in a few years those types of songs will have more success again.

Doubt it'll do anything. I got a response to my complaint from the BBC and although I'm not allowed to disclose what they said, it was pretty much 'yeah well you're wrong then'.

So this started off as a perfectly inoffensive song that would never trouble the charts in 2011, and then out of nowhere gained an agelessly generic dance beat. Yay.

at least they're playing a remix. this remix is actually pretty good might I add, they should use it as the real version and just call the real version the acoustic version, it'd pass for it anyway. :P her voice really suits dance/drum & bass too.

Rebecca's voice actually sounds quite decent on drum n bass! I was far more interested in that than the bit of the original they played at the start (but then I would be since I'm a fan of drum n bass :lol:)
