I hope Nicki Minaj can finish at #2 this week. Surprised that The Boss is #1, thought Military Wives would have been the perfect lazy gift for Mothers Day!

F*ck off Moves Like Jagger!

Tinchy/Pixie  #06 :cheer: Should end this week at #07 though, I am guessing the sales must be close between 5-7!

So happy StooShe are still Top 5. :D Stay there till Sunday plz. :cheer:

Oh dear. Marcus has flopped kind of then! Cant say im suprised as its awful!!

I wonder how the album will do when its out next week.

Marcus hasnt done well for his first single. It will probably just end up staying in the top10 by sunday but given the level of publicity and exposure he has received from the poo factor shows compared to other artists, its quite a poor start. It just goes to show the whole x factor novelty is really wearing off now.
Ohhh! :( Was hoping Kelly C would get another week inside the top 40 in the albums. Shame she has been pushed out due to mother's day, but ah well. Hopefully it'll return for a bit once that periods over.

Springsteen 18k ahead :cheer: fantastic to see, will hopefully be well over 50k by Sunday.

Also fantastic to see "Niggas In Paris" top 20, could climb to around #16 by Sunday and then become Kanye's biggest hit as a lead artist since "Heartless" next week.

Top 10

8 Marcus Collins

so no chance of this outpeaking the orginal then :D I certainly don't dislike Marcus, but a cheap cover outpeaking a modern classic is not what I like to see..

I hope Nicki can overtake Emeli by Sunday, surprised to see Coldplay and Maroon 5 climbing so much again, is there any reason other than it being a relatively quiet week?

I'm sure the Military Wives will be number one next week. Although I'm glad to say my mother would slap me if I bought it for her haha

Top 15

14 The Civil Wars

Why is this charting now, when it bombed last October?

Why is this charting now, when it bombed last October?

The only reason I can think of is that they're on Taylor Swift's new song for the movie The Hunger Games (which looks to be big like Harry Potter/Twilight on perhaps a lesser scale), but I don't see how that gets them so far after an initially poor chartng, so perhaps radio are playing them more as well?

56k for Gotye so far this week - my prediction of 75-85k looks like it'll be right then :P Hopefully towards the upper end of that.

A deluxe version of The Civil Wars' album has just been released and the ad for it is all over TV, hence the re-entry.

Jay-Z and Kanye top 20 :cheer: And 'Take Care' back in the top 40!

True, but Rebecca Ferguson only got to number 10 with her first single but her album still did well so im reserving judgment on Marcus until next week. He is on Dancing on Ice apparently this week and a couple of promos on daytime tv so I expect him to maintain top 15 next week and with Mothers Day he should get a top 5 album minimum, especially as he is actually getting pretty good radio support.

That would explain why it re-entered, but not why it re-entered so high. If the original 12 tracks had little appeal, why would an extra 6 give so much of a boost?

The TV advertising (as I said :P) would have helped and they have a higher profile now anyway after their Grammys success and some hype around their song from 'The Hunger Games' I guess. It's not exactly selling that much to get to #12.

I would have expected a few more new entries in the singles countdown on the Friday update. What about Taio Cruz, Tyga, Azealia Banks and M.I.A? Surely all four should be fairly close by Sunday?
