March 11, 201214 yr I think Rihanna is successful every era is because she just seems to continually re-invent herself (both her image and her music to some degree) which is always enough to keep the public interested without being in the media every week (unlike Gaga who I am a fan of as well). Also, she's just got a nice listenable voice on her singles. :lol: (Minus You Da One) -_- But either way, that's a massive achievement to only be out of the charts for three weeks in the past few years. There's just that massive gap inbetween Rehab and Run This Town. Although maybe Disturbia, Live Your Life or Umbrella could've been top 200 for all that time?

Now they'll go back to their floppy ways of 2010 I think. :( Yeah, I'm kind of thinking that. Same with Ne-Yo and Give Me Everything. Rihanna is a good example. The singles from her Rated R album had moderate success. But then Love the Way You Lie smashed, and she capitalized on that very well imo. She went from an album that some people were calling a "flop" to her next single opening with 126,000, and I think Love the Way You Lie is partly to thank for that. I think Christina and Ne-Yo could've benefitted from their big hits last year if they acted faster. Not to the extent that Rihanna did, but it could've helped a bit.
