It's funny that Mirror is doing better in the UK than in the US atm.

This is very odd - is it not actually being promoted anywhere in the USA? If it's his biggest hit here then you'd expect it to be one of his biggest in the USA as well, especially as they don't seem to be over Bruno yet while the UK seems to be a bit :o

I agree with this. She's doing a 'Born This Way' and releasing all the wrong singles

I seem to be the only person who thinks Talk That Talk was the correct single choice.

I think she could've done with completely skipping You Da One though, and not released a 2nd single (Talk That Talk) until January time. I don't mind Rihanna releasing so many songs, but when she gets a hit as big as We Found Love, she should slow down and milk it imo.

:manson:

Exactly what I was thinking, in what way are Maroon 5 remotely indie? They are pure pop and just happen to play actual instruments. In fairness though, I'd say Christina stands more chance of being relevant today, she just needs the right material. (and to have released a single 4 months ago. :P)

Thirteen straight weeks top 20 for 'Mama Do The Hump' :D

4th week in the top 40 for 'Mirror' too - 'Lollipop' (his second highest-peaking single as lead artist) spent 6 weeks - so hopefully it can out-do that;

'Lollipop' - 70-46-47-42-39-38-39-26-27-39-49-51-52-59-63-79-82-xx(?)-97-97-xx [19 weeks]

Pretty impressive chart run actually for Lil Wayne.

I agree with this. She's doing a 'Born This Way' and releasing all the wrong singles

What?! 'Judas', 'The Edge Of Glory', 'You & I' and 'Marry the Night' are all fantastic singles!! :o :P

She was SUPPOSED to release a single in January this year. But it's March and we still haven't heard it. I think maybe she's waiting until The Voice starts again now (judging on talent shows has helped other "irrelevent" artists have big hits recently, like Nicole Scherzinger and Jennifer Lopez).

In the wrong order of course - Edge of Glory should've been 1st or 2nd and Judas last :P

Somewhere a wild Liam is raging at this climbing again :kink:

(I realise this is a bit hypocritical given my stance on MLJ, but shush).

Lovely climb for Mirror, one of my favourite songs in the chart - could this be its peak? Hope not, wish radio 1 would have alisted it, could have been top 10!

Haha, i agree apart from You & I. But after Born This Way, the world was not here for Judas. Marry The Night should have been second, The Edge of Glory should have got a better delayed and proper release.

And we're not gettin Scheiße or Heavy Metal Lover or Government Hooker videos now

It spent 19 weeks in the top 100 in the UK, but it sent 19 weeks in the top 10 in the US.

In my opinion he singles were fine, and in a good order. Except it would've been better for her to skip Judas in the US, and to skip You and I in the UK.

You and I went top 10 on US iTunes before it was a single. I know everybody wants her to release dance songs constantly for the rest of her career, but when an album track goes top 10 by itself, you don't just ignore that.

This is just dull for me. Ed, sure, he has a nice voice, but thats about it. 'Lego House' is pleasant but everything else is just deadly dull.
