I don't know. The truth is, like 99% of the songs she's done are hip hop songs, but since all her biggest hits are all pop songs, I can see her just abandoning the genre eventually (hence why Lil Kim can come back and steal Nicki's niche back). She acts like she wants to become a pop icon like Madonna now. She's going to fail imo.

Yeah, i guess she does get the most success from her pop songs which is a shame, because she's had some real gems that have underperformed :(

They didn't cut out the rap :cheer: Now is it too much to ask for them to keep the breakdowns intact in Starships?

until it has a video and they haven't got a choice, I think they still will :(

Thank GOD this didn't so as well as its early performance would've suggested, I wonder if it will have an even worse chart run than the original?

Album Discussion Here

Seventh consecutive week where Sia has two songs in the top 10 - must be one of the longest runs of that ever by now?

If Guetta properly pushes 'Night Of Your Life' and gets it top 10 that'd be a hell of a run of top 10 hits on his chart history :P

Yeah, i guess she does get the most success from her pop songs which is a shame, because she's had some real gems that have underperformed :(

After she releases her album aswell, she'll be able to release nothing but dance songs, because she'll have thousands of people on Twitter, etc. begging her to release some random dance song as her next single, again, and again, and again (like Rihanna is experiencing with Where Have You Been). And if she releases anything urban, all the people that suddenly started taking interest in her 6 months ago will be angry at her. She's got herself in a sticky situation I think.

I don't know. Of course she's gonna get more success from her more mainstream poppy songs. They're designed to appeal to a wider audience, hence more radio stations are likely to playlist them and more people are likely to buy them! I think she'll continue to be versatile, and the poppier tracks will continue to be the big-hitters.

Are there any other songs that mention the Queen of England? (Besides both "God Save The Queen"s)
Theres a programme on bbc 2 at the moment which is talking about popstars and pop songs and what they mean!

Last few peak positions for Tinchy:

10 - 22 - 14 - 5 - 24 - 7

Odd :P Especially as only one of them is a post-album single (and that one peaked higher than the previous, pre-album single).

Tinchy will never outperform Never Leave You for me
Pixie sounding predictably awful on this. It's just a poor remake of "Never Leave You" really.

If he releases another song as good as Number 1, I think he'll be able to smash again. Let It Rain was the only one of these singles that didn't plummet as soon as it was released (obviously because it was a post-album-release single, but still.).

Yeah, that's my favourite song from him.

Game Over also didn't plummet and that wasn't even a 'proper' single (hence why I didn't include it on that rundown).

Have any other African-born artists had as many as six top 10 hits? I didn't find out until the other day that Tinchy was born in Ghana :o I knew he had Ghanaian heritage but I always thought he was born in the UK.
