Music Week mistake: they say Payphone has the highest first week sales of the year, when it of course is in fact Call My Name.

Oh if Olly is only a few hundred behind Bublé then he probably will be on for a third week over 100k even at #4 (although I hope Emeli's XF boost will wear off so he can climb back to #3 by the end of the week).

 

And that is a LOT higher than iTunes suggested will.i.am was on for! Either Bruno is heading for a huge sales increase for some reason or will.i.am has a huge lead. EDIT: Although from the wording in the report it's probably significantly lower than 54k actually. I did think that seemed far too high.

I think that's a wildly optimist assessment of how many CD singles it'll sell. IMO 50-75k will be more like it - people just aren't looking for CDS's any more.

But if you average it out 50 copies per store doesn't seem too OTT, given 200 in one store and has 4 more days selling.

Saturday will also have mega sales since it's the weekend, people out shopping for Christmas presenters. Could be used as a stocking filler? 50 copies per store makes this seem quite reasonable to me aswell...

and I don´think is so clear Buble will be after bruno Mars.I mean, christmas is here, and more and more people are buying this album.which, by the way, is a very good album, but I don´t understand why people are buying it again,I mean, three of the 4 new songs, were already on the deluxe edition of the cd last year.and the only new song that I´ve heard, white christmas with Bing crosby, apparently is not on the new edition

Isn't it 5 years? :D 'Piece Of Me' was no. 2 in January 2008 so almost 5 years ago. Still, 2008 (what an amazing year it was for me - all started going wrong in 2009 :lol: :cry: )
