December 12, 201213 yr Thank goodness Girls Aloud Ten has settled a bit. Hopefully it doesnt fall any further than 29, like it fell from 18-26 last week. Hopefully sales have increased too. Live Lounge/Graham Norton Friday and ITV1 documentary Saturday should increase next week's sales.
December 12, 201213 yr 7th week top 40 for a reworking of hits everyone already has??? think she is doing brilliantly!!!!!!! the physicals in HMV and supermarkets etc are too expensive in my opinion, but people still buying so hey! would like to see the CD dow to 5.99/6.99 for a few weeks in January more promo coming up so could sell 150k plus before end of year!! Little disappointed Kylie is only 25. I was hoping top 20 after her X Factor performance
December 12, 201213 yr The Abbey Road Sessions is now part of the 2 for £15 offer in HMV so that could help it slightly! :D
December 12, 201213 yr i to had hoped Kylie would be higher, hopefully she remains top 30 now, either way though she should manage 20,000 + this week which is good.
December 12, 201213 yr finally!!!!! this offer always gets a few more buyers... you really want one CD then you think wonder which other to get..... KYLIE! LOL :yahoo: The Abbey Road Sessions is now part of the 2 for £15 offer in HMV so that could help it slightly! :D

December 12, 201213 yr I know it's a bit boring to listen to, but the armed forces ARE more important than the chart? On a music station? Besides, when do they eulogise nurses, firefighters or paramedics?
December 13, 201213 yr Think Bruno could be on for 150k could be close call if he's fastest selling over 1D and Mumford. If it's not him will Buble hit fever pitch and sell more next week? Not out the question sadly. Think Olly will best Sande by the end of the week unless she has more promo. Think 2-4 in albums will all be close or over 100k be great to see Olly maintain it James Arthur very hard to call will need to see how the physical impacts when they start to hit in Friday mids (or thurs if occ are generous). Could clear 500k but surely 400-450k at least now which is quite something considering initial expectations on here 70-80k for will and Britney? Maybe?
December 13, 201213 yr Let's not even get started on 'perceived credibility', that's very reminiscent of Matt (although I wouldn't mind James doing a Matt). James has already been endorsed by people like Labrinth and Emeli Sande though, whereas Matt just endorsed himself as credible! J.A's Impossible is nothing... B-) I doubt he will even do a Matt Cardle with his career, totally insignificant in my books. But then again it was another poor year for TXF... Only in terms of ratings, there was alot of talent. And it makes me laugh how people revel in knocking X Factor contestants chances of making it considering 1D and Olly both did the chart double recently. X Factor doesn't attract as many viewers as it did but it does produce popstars by the bucketload. The media can't get enough of JA, he has loads of fans and top songwriters are queueing up to work with him. I don't know if I'll like what he releases but I would be shocked if he isn't a success. December 13, 201213 yr Scream And Shout might sell over 100,000 copies this week as well if its sales are consistent for the rest of the week.
December 13, 201213 yr Went into HMV tonight, and they are selling the CD single of He Ain't Heavy. Wonder if physical copies of this will make a dent on Sunday's chart?
December 13, 201213 yr Went into HMV tonight, and they are selling the CD single of He Ain't Heavy. Wonder if physical copies of this will make a dent on Sunday's chart? There was a situation last year regarding the Wherever You Are, which had a week low Top 200 before shooting up to number one. I presume all pre-orders will count to the week it inevitably reaches number one though, if the song does chart early.
December 14, 201213 yr Author Midweek Charts update: X Factor's Arthur nears 400,000 sales Source: MW by Paul Willams James Arthur is now nearing 400,000 sales of his debut single and is poised to beat the first-week tallies of most past X Factor winners. Arthur, who was crowned 2012 X Factor champ last Sunday, had by the end of business on Thursday shifted 378,935 copies of his debut Syco release Impossible, according to the Official Charts Company. With two days of the chart week still to go he is very likely to surpass the first-week totals achieved by 2010 winner Matt Cardle (439,007 with When We Collide) and 2009 winner Joe McElderry (450,838 with The Climb), but will have his work cut out to beat the tallies of Shayne Ward (742,180), Leona Lewis (571,253) and Alexandra Burke (576,046). In just a few days this week he had already surpassed the first-week showings achieved by 2007 victor Leon Jackson whose When You Believe opened with 275,747 units and last year's winners Little Mix whose Cannonball debuted at No 1 with 210,129 sales. Arthur is more than 300,000 sales in front on the latest midweeks of the newly-issued Interscope/Polydor track Scream & Shout by will.i.am. featuring Britney Spears at 2. Bruno Mars' Atlantic single Locked Out Of Heaven drops 2-3, but he is on course to top the artist albums chart on Sunday with Unorthodox Jukebox, which was on Thursday just a few hundred sales short of surpassing 100,000 sales week one. Parlophone's Gabrielle Aplin slips 1-4 on the singles midweeks with The Power Of Love as Olly Murs' Epic single Troublemaker featuring Flo Rida falls 3-5 and Def Jam/Mercury's Rihanna arrives at 7 with Stay featuring Mikky Ekko. There remains a very clsoe battle going on for second place for this coming Sunday's artist albums chart with Olly Murs' third Epic album Right Place Right Time edging it presently by only around 1,400 sales. Just below him, Reprise/Warner Bros's Michael Buble falls 2-3 with Christmas and a further 1,300 sales behind is Emeli Sande whose Virgin-issued Our Version Of Events climbs 7-4 with sales up 110% following her X Factor performance. Also on the same X Factor show, Syco's One Direction fall 3-5 with Take Me Home, but with sales up 14%. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Friday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 James Arthur (378,935) 2 wi.ll.i.am/Britney Spears (75k) ?? 3 Bruno Mars 4 Gabrielle Aplin 5 Olly Murs Top 10 7 Rihanna/Mikky Ekko 10 One Direction [KY] Top 15 12 Taylor Swift Top 20 20 Shontelle Top 30 23 Daley/Jessie J 28 Emeli Sande [ Clown] 29 Wizzard Top 40 31 McFly 38 Ellie Goulding [ACH] ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Bruno Mars (100k) 2 Olly Murs (1,4k ahead) 3 Michael Buble 4 Emeli Sande (1,3k behind) 5 One Direction Top 10 10 P!nk Top 15 12 Calvin Harris 13 Mumford & Sons Top 20 18 Kelly Clarkson 19 Script Top 30 Led Zeppelin 22 Green Day 25 Kylie 28 Taylor Swift Top 40 32 McFly Rod Stewart [storyteller] Jake Bugg NO SALES INFO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARTIST UPDATES Singles Rihanna 3+3 Alicia Keys 10+7 The Pogues 14+5 Mariah 20+2 Little Mix 20+10 McFly 30+1 Albums Rihanna 3+3 Little Mix 10+5 Alicia Keys 10+10 Girls Aloud 30+1
