July 24, 201313 yr Other new entries are Lauren Aquilina at #53, Professor Green at #60 and Emma Blackery at #89.
July 24, 201313 yr Oh good to see Avicii safely in the lead, that 1D song is terrible. I'm no expert or anything  but I wouldn't call that a safe lead, but for 1D to only be on 45k with pre orders makes me feel a little better but i am very disappointed with those sales though we'll still be looking at another 100k at number one And yes you're 100% right...that 1D attempt at a song is truly awful looking forward to the massive fall later in the month!!
July 24, 201313 yr I don't REALLY understand why everyone is so surprised at Jahmene going to #1 or indeed why people are seemingly getting annoyed about it. Are there people out there who don't know that we're in the worst album market ever? Were their any other contenders that could realistically get the #1 album instead of Jahmene?
July 24, 201313 yr Oh and gutted by that drop for PSB, I hope they at least hold on to a top 20 place by Sunday I think I may have to get a copy to help them out! WTF at Jahmene I was expecting top 10 not number 1 the housewives must be out in force! Never thought I'd day this but hoping Robin or Jay Z will climb back Singles chart looks awful typical of the Now effect...how the hell is Radioactive still in the chart?? It's not even near the top 40 on iTunes but its at #33 :arrr: its about time 'it's Time' got a new peak (pun alert!!!)

Are there people out there who don't know that we're in the worst album market ever? Were there any other contenders that could realistically get the #1 album instead of Jahmene? Robin Thicke staying at #1, Jay-Z or Rod Stewart returning to #1, Passenger climbing to #1, all realistic possibilities. I thought Jahméne would be around #9 like Marcus Collins was. I don't get how he's doing so much better than Marcus despite having less support as far as I can tell, even with a completely dead albums market.
July 24, 201313 yr Author Plus Jahmene's album is #8 on the album LPB chart, I really didn't expect him to be #1 with his position on the LPB chart. I really thought the Rolling Stones would be in contention for a Top 5 entry.
July 24, 201313 yr So happy for Jahmene - what a wonderful, talented lad! Well, as Mark McKenzie put it in a YouTube comment... "Emotionally powerful, haunting, classical gospel cover of Titanium, Jahmene... Sorry to David Guetta fans but I think Titanium will, from now on, be known as Jahmene Douglas's massive hit, not Guetta's... And, Jahmene, such a moving clip of a couple in an abusive relationship, the woman scared to death by the man, absolutely hard-hitting... Yes, there could have been more in it but it gets the message across... Superb job, once again Jahmene... JAHMAZING!!! :-)"

July 24, 201313 yr Griff speaks the truth. :o Don't all of my posts speak the truth? :basil: Bray, almost all of the albums that you've mentioned have got to #1. And why would Passenger somehow be a better #1? Urgh I give up with people.
July 24, 201313 yr Bray, almost all of the albums that you've mentioned have got to #1. And why would Passenger somehow be a better #1? Urgh I give up with people. When did anyone mention quality? All you said was 'who were the other realistic possibilities'
July 24, 201313 yr When did anyone mention quality? All you said was 'who were the other realistic possibilities' I didn't mention anything about quality either. I meant "better" in terms of seeming more worthy. Passenger has already had a massive selling single and as such getting a #1 album by default on low sales would seem worthless in comparison to Jahmene who hasn't put anything out and is probably comfortably outselling its nearest competitor so therefore deserves his position regardless of quality. I was also making arguments about why its nearest competitors shouldn't gone back to #1 in expense of Jahmene. I'm coming across as a massive Jahmene loon when I'm really not. :(
July 24, 201313 yr I actually thought Selena Gomez had a chance of going to #1, OOPS. (lol @ Jahmene though) Hey! Hello! at #12 :o.... BNga2vAZQew ^ I actually rather like this tbf
July 24, 201313 yr What's currently the lowest sales this year for a #1 album? Whatever it is, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Jah-Mazing ( :puke: ) sells less. If he's going to be #1 please let it be the worst sales ever for an album at the top of the chart. Rihanna doesn't deserve that "honour" anymore. Time to give Jahmene a UK record he truly deserves. I guess it proves that with autotuning, they can make Jahmene sound wonderful in a studio recording. The sound of a dog yelping with enough autotuning would probably end up sounding like Jahmene too. Now that's JAH-MAZING.
July 24, 201313 yr Totally unexpected number one in the album charts this week, for a quiet period, this will be the 4th different number one album this month and the 3rd in a row to enter at number one
July 24, 201313 yr Not much going on in the singles chart, happy that Avicii has a great lead over One Direction, although I've tired of 'Wake Me Up!' a lot now. Nice to see 'Thinking About You' looking to go Top 20, praying for a Top 10 peak! I knew Jahmene would be a contender for #1, thanks to low sales and the fact he was well liked among the older generation on X Factor! I'd love to see Robin Thicke replace him at #1 but I don't think it is very likely.

Ugh 45 000 bought that awful song already? :S Hopefully it starts to massively fall this week and fall down to #8 or so next week! Good thing is Avicii is way out in front. But I thought he was meant to be selling 3-1 :/ 1 Jahméne Douglas * (2.5k ahead) (outsold by Now! 85 16 copies to one) I didn't mention anything about quality either.
