cant believe TWLTTF from bastille is doing so well :( I love it but the original is SO much better, as is Laura Palmer. Oh well, as long as Oblivion is next.

'Things We Lost In the Fire' was an instant highlight from the album for me. So good. I was always baffled as to why they chose the "ok at best" 'Laura Palmer' over this!

Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=4423520

59p songs in the top 100:

 8 Naughty Boy feat. Emeli Sandé - Lifted

 18 OneRepublic - Counting Stars

 31 Imagine Dragons - It's Time

 50 Rudimental feat. John Newman - Feel The Love (also #93)

 55 Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles

 58 Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

 78 Keane - Somewhere Only We Know

:left: 93 Rudimental feat. John Newman - Feel The Love

At least Applause is stabilising now. I've really grown to love it now!

Wonder if One Republic could end up in the top 10 eventually; would be brilliant if it does.
Laura Palmer is SO much better than Things We Lost In The Fire, so of course the latter does better
Astounded to see One Republic doing well with this even if it needed help from 59p :P

It's been huge worldwide though so I guess it was only a matter of time before it took off here

But so was 'Secrets' and look at how that one turned out... :(

Exactly, such a awesome record that never got the massive success that it deserved in the UK :(

People (myself included) often forget or don't realise just how big OR actually are. They're just floppy here in the UK, really. It sucks! But yeah, for some reason I can see 'Secrets' getting some form of boost from X Factor or some other reality show sometime soon. (I'm surprised Ryan Tedder's stuff hasn't been raped by SyCo already tbh)

I think you're in a minority there :P I can still barely remember how 'Laura Palmer' even goes, it's their weakest single by miles IMO while 'Things We Lost In The Fire' is their second best behind the obvious. Really crossing my fingers for it to be top 40 next week.

Oh, Naughty Boy's album pre-order now back ahead of Avenged Sevenfold. I'm Team Ellie for the #1 album next week but if it's going to be NB vs. A7X I'd prefer the latter just for diversity (and punishing Naughty Boy for releasing 'Lifted' :kink:)

Yay for London Grammar's album pre-order in the top 100 :D Hope it can go top 5 at least. 'Wasting My Young Years' was already one of my favourite songs of the year and I actually think 'Strong' is better. Their Disclosure collab and 'Metal & Dust' have both been brilliant as well. Really looking forward to hearing their album.

'Laura Palmer' is easily the best thing Bastille have recorded as far as I'm concerned. The booming start is just incredible on proper speakers or headphones. Baffled as to how it didn't smash but I'm often out of sync with the public...
September 15th looks like the death week of 2013 (seems to always fall in September ) with Azealia, Jason Derulo, Jessie J, MKS, Diana (she won't do anything unfortunately) and maybe someone else I've missed out all releasing. It looks as though Jason has got #1 in the bag unless Katy is a monster seller which is likely.
Tbh of those I think only Jessie J and Jason DeRulo will go top 10. Jason hopefully #1, I wouldn't mind if Katy got another week because I slightly prefer that but Talk Dirty is one of my songs of the year

'The Mother We Share' will slay everything and shoot to that #1 spot~~

But in the real world, Talk Dirty is a certain #1. I think Sub Focus has a single out that week, not sure how well it'll do (since Endorphins didn't do as well as Tidal Wave overall, sold less in its first week I think?)
