Perhaps people are beginning to realise that Tom Odell is a bit of a one-trick pony.

That argument may have made more sense if he had previously had more than one hit :P

I'd actually be surprised if Kings of Leon beat Jessie after how big her last album was :(

There's absolutely no way Jessie is going to beat KOL. She might outsell them in the long run but their first week sales will trounce hers.

-x-

Rather shocked to see Avicii in the top 5 after how appallingly 'You Make Me' has done in pretty much every other country. It's not a bad song but it definitely doesn't sound like a hit either.

Pleased to see Birdy stalling outside the top 20 at the moment. Not so pleased to see CHVRCHES still as low as #47 :( And what the hell is this 'Pewdiepie' thing at #55? I think I've heard the name before.

'Skyscraper' at #32 - please do not let this actually re-enter the top 40 :puke:

'Strong' still at #20 - three weeks top 20 possibly?! Vastly outperforming my expectations thus far (kinda expected it to debut around #17 but thought it'd drop down to the lower end of the top 40 in week 2 and vanish in week 3).

Not necessarily, you might hear his hit, then hear another song and think it was very similar so not bother to buy it.

Christina Perri back in the top 40 next week. :(

Blame YouTube.

So so pleased for London Grammar even if it is the wrong single that is getting more success  Also very happy to hear 'Help Me Lose My Mind' is the next single!

'A Thousand Years' on X Factor - it's never going to leave the top 100 again is it? It did drop out for 2 weeks earlier in the year but has otherwise been in every top 100 in 2013 - including quite a significant number of close calls (2 weeks at #95, 4 weeks at #97 and a week at #98).

Or see him play for an hour at a festival, and realise that a) he's got some talent but b) there's very little variation there. Then you see Ben Howard an hour later and see someone in a totally different league.

Where the hell did that come from???? It was top 50 last time I looked...

Surprised Passenger hasn't benefitted from X Factor yet though its going to happen some point

As much as I love Strong, I would rather see Wasting My Young Years charting higher it deserved more than number 31 such a beautiful record!!

:o Why? Was it used in the X Factor?

They performed it for a girl on Surprise Surprise!

I think it was background music!

Speaking of X Factor background music.......

HA at 'A Thousand Years'. Thought it'd maybe re-enter the top 40 again but potentially looking at a new peak again... It would be great to see it finally go top 10 but I suspect it'll fall just short again.
13. Christina Perri - A Thousand Years :drama:

For Christ's sake, why always the same old boring songs? :(

Great to see Ben Pearce steadily climbing up there! Hope to see it make the R1 playlist soon <3

LOL @ A Thousand Years. Just lol

also can Skyscraper stop climbing and DIE please thx

Paul is on C4 now, so can ELO's All Over The World get a revival into the Top 40 please? :kink:
