A new song every week for 10 weeks - pretty expensive for fans buying each one (almost £10, which is surely more than if they wait for the album?).

Is there an album though? As far as I know they're all individual tracks.

But as you say, if there is an album, 10 tracks at 89p each makes £8.90 which is surely about what the downloaded album would be.

Go Cher! Still rocking it at almost 70, she will never lose her eternal relevance. So glad she performed that amazing song instead of the limp Woman's World, which would have probably peaked at about #70, even with an X Factor performance!

It's a cover of Miley Cyrus :kink:

Wow Cher on the brink of top 20! :o Even with the XF promotion I wasn't expecting her to go that high :o
I know, if you're going to cover someone to remain relevant then Miley is clearly the correct current choice
Never expected it to be almost Top 20! And there is FAR superior songs on the album too
G'won Cher! Can't believe she's back in the top 40. She's reponsible for my one of my favourite 90s songs, Believe

The Saturdays - Not Giving Up  #191.

Please go top 40.

I doubt it will, but I remember Higher got very high (npi) on album release week.

Very pleased Cher is doing as well as she is with 'I Hope You Find It'! It was a great performance and I loved the song on that first listen but I was expecting a Celine Dion 'Taking Chances' style boost at most (just scraping the Top 40).

Oh, Cher actually is doing well - I guess I judged her position just a tad too early  Forgot it was only available from her album today. A Miley Cyrus cover by Cher in the top 40 in 2013. What a bizarre situation. It sounded OKAY on XF, she certainly doesn't sound like a 70 year old at least.

'All That Matters' performing similarly to 'Heartbreaker' so far then. Think this campaign is going to go roughly the same way as the Elvis reissues in 2007 (not 2005) which all peaked between #11 and #19 and dived down the chart in their second weeks:

Elvis Presley (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear 14 77

Elvis Presley Always On My Mind 17

Elvis Presley An American Trilogy 12

Elvis Presley A Big Hunk O' Love 12 94

Elvis Presley Blue Suede Shoes 13 59

Elvis Presley Burning Love 13

Elvis Presley Don't 14 95

Elvis Presley Hard Headed Woman 15 97

Elvis Presley Hound Dog 14 65

Elvis Presley If I Can Dream 17 95

Elvis Presley In The Ghetto 13 91

Elvis Presley King Creole 15

Elvis Presley My Baby Left Me 19 67

Elvis Presley Party 14 93

Elvis Presley Suspicious Minds 11 26 46 72

Elvis Presley Viva Las Vegas 15 95

Elvis Presley Wear My Ring Around Your Neck 16 100

Elvis Presley You Don't Have To Say You Love Me 16

Don't think the Bieber songs will have chart runs THAT bad but probably only one week top 40 for each. Might still be a bit too early to tell though :P

Given that it's just an album track from the soundtrack of a film she starred in, I'm not sure how many people outside of her main fanbase would even recognise it's a Miley song :P Then again I don't know how prominent it was in the film.

At this rate there's going to be a LOT of Justin Bieber songs in this year's 'Favourite top 20 hit that missed the top 10' contest.
Hopefully 'All That Matters' performs slightly better than 'Heartbreaker', given the latter is terrible and the former is *okay*.

Cause you'd chart terrible songs at #12 in your personal chart?

I'd actually rather Iggy went top 10 over Justin as he'll inevitably plummet, wouldn't be disappointed if he held up better now than he did last week though, it's a better track than Heartbreaker.

It's terrible in comparison to 'All That Matters', not that that matters (!) because it gets worse with each listen.

Anyway, onto something actually worth bothering about... I don't know if this has been said already but on the X Factor iTunes page it says: "Because iTunes is committed to presenting contestants in a fair and balanced manner online and on-air, sales of performances from the current season of X Factor contestants will not be reflected in iTunes charts."

Oh yes. How could I forget Bowie. Shame Paul McCartney's latest track failed to make it Top 40. We could have had 3 artists from the 60's in the Top 40 this year.

Indeed its taken a while but the classic artists are finally learning how to playt the digital age charts.

I know its not as impressive but i think Fatboy Slims upcoming hit (it wouyld be a hit NOW if it was released but record companies are stupid) and continued relevance on radio 1 (alisting) is pretty impressive too, would love it to be no1, cracking tune!! That would be him having hits in the 80s, 90s 2000s & now and not just a fleeting top 40 hit either a proper popular song!

To be fair, Cher did a really good job with her performance. My mum, who said she hates her, was even singing the song after Cher performed.

Hopefully it'll be top 40 come sunday! :cheer:
