July 23, 201411 yr Oh that's true, ignore me then  Forgot that Wednesday mids don't actually include Wednesday :P But yes, that's still quite a large amount for them to outsell her by, can't see it happening thankfully as it's not as if she's gonna sell 0 copies for the rest of the week. Actually, good news is both songs have sold the same amount today as well (if iTunes really is a 48h rolling chart). :) So MAGIC! would have to catch her in 3 days, which seems pretty unlikely. Oh and she's co-hosting Greg James show tomorrow, so that's a bit of promo.
July 23, 201411 yr Author By the way, today's figures lead to a new projection of 122k by the end of the week for Cheryl. :) That sounds about right, but I think it could sell 130+ considering the summer break has started after today... well the school term has finished today round here, in other areas it could be different.
July 23, 201411 yr So pleased for Cher! Really hope she can stay top 40 and doesnt drastically start falling on iTunes. :(
July 23, 201411 yr I must admit Cheryl's track is a bit of a disappointment, the awful noises in the background makes it... one big mess. Come Sunday... TV muted :D That was actually Greg James messing about with his own saxophone noises.
July 23, 201411 yr Despite still being comfortably still at #3 on iTunes still, it looks like streaming is going to push Charli XCX down a place or two :( 3 Charli XCX - Boom Clap 0.4202 4 Rixton - Me and My Broken Heart 0.3903 5 Ella Henderson - Ghost 0.3817 6 will.i.am - It’s My Birthday (feat. Cody Wise) 0.3563 That's not really what I'd call a 'comfortable' #3. I doubt she'll be top 3 on the sales chart this week.
July 23, 201411 yr Actually, MAGIC! hasn't sold as much as Cheryl yesterday, unless streaming data are missing ! MAGIC! is much bigger on streaming so they surely did a few hundreds more than Cheryl with it, hence why the gap between them would be smaller today if they sold the same amount. :) Edited July 23, 201411 yr by Hayzayy

July 23, 201411 yr Cheryl sold almost 11.9k yesterday and MAGIC! almost sold 12k. ;) And no, streaming data isn't missing! Those numbers include sales+streaming. My point is that MAGIC! is bigger on streaming, so it means it shifted less downloads yesterday since the overal figureis the same for both. Edited July 23, 201411 yr by Hayzayy
July 23, 201411 yr Those numbers include sales+streaming. My point is that MAGIC! is bigger on streaming, so it means it shifted less downloads yesterday since the overal figureis the same for both. What point are you trying to make though? The chart now includes both streaming AND downloads.
July 23, 201411 yr What point are you trying to make though? The chart now includes both streaming AND downloads. He is simply countering the assertion that MAGIC! sold the same amount as her yesterday despite her iTunes lead. Her iTunes lead is correlating to a lead in sales, it's simply the streaming bridging the gap. But yes this is just nitpicking.
July 23, 201411 yr Thanks, I did assume it was that - seems a bit of a pointless discussion though, because it doesn't change the fact that MAGIC! are now outselling Cheryl on 'chart sales'.
July 23, 201411 yr What point are you trying to make though? The chart now includes both streaming AND downloads. Nothing else than what I first said : MAGIC! was still behind on downloads yeserday. :P
July 23, 201411 yr But yes this is just nitpicking. It's not just "nitpicking", it's helping for my projections. :(
July 24, 201411 yr Really hop Charli XCX stays at 3 just for the fact the top 3 would all be new but Ella streams will probably push her back up to 3 and Charli around 4/5 :(
July 24, 201411 yr Neon Jungle will unfortunately miss out on the top 10 by how things are shaping up. Ella Henderson i am hoping will gain from streaming, Ghost is sublime and the best number 1 of this year to date, i am really excited for her follow up single and album.
July 24, 201411 yr I feel like Tinie Tempah's lost a lot of his relevancy in the last couple of years but he's still managed to piggyback his way onto two No.1 singles this year, I say piggyback because I'm pretty sure both Tsunami and Crazy Stupid Love would have been No.1's without his input, certainly the latter.
July 24, 201411 yr Sadly his input was crucial to Tsunami as I don't even think the original came close to charting. Which is completely unjust of course. Edited July 24, 201411 yr by Dobbo
July 24, 201411 yr Sadly his input was crucial to Tsunami as I don't even think the original came close to charting. Which is completely unjust of course. The instrumental was not available until the Tinie version came out (or if it was it was months before and had no exposure, then got deleted) :P I'm sure if the instrumental had been promoted it'd have been a #1 anyway. Possibly might have been even bigger, I haven't seen many people who prefer the Tinie version, plus it'd probably have come out earlier when there was more hype for it.
