July 25, 201411 yr I'm going to go out on a limb and say Cheryl and Magic will be less than 3k in it come Sunday. If Magic closed the gap by 1.5k on a day's sales where Cheryl was ahead the whole day on itunes, then surely yesterday (Thurs) when they did overtake and end the day with Cheryl at 93% on pop bars then you have got to think that could well be a 5k swing sales wise in Magic favour. Then Fri and Sat if they keep increasing it should get very close.
July 25, 201411 yr Album sales are so dismal these days it almost seems like full length albums are going to become a thing of the past They will do - the only reason albums existed in the first place was the running time of vinyl, and later CDs. July 25, 201411 yr I think with the Now album tracks becoming available to cherry-pick again, that Boom Clap could easily drop out of the top 5 by Sunday :( still a #6 would be a fair bit better than I was anticipating last week
July 25, 201411 yr With missing streaming data from Wednesday I would estimate the lead is actually more like 17.5k but that's still a good lead.
July 25, 201411 yr Question. La Roux's album is £9.99 in HMV or £6.99 when purchasing the (ridiculously priced, at £3) CD Single, would these sales count towards both the album and single? Sorry if the answer is obvious. Shame 'Uptight Downtown' isn't going Top 40, regardless. :(
