Well prepare yourself to be very stunned indeed cos #85 on pre orders a week before release pretty much guarantees a top ten entry. I think it will be #1 yes, unless I'm forgetting some other big release next week.

it'll likely reach the iTunes top 10, but officially I just can't see it really (mainly because of how un-'chart hit sounding' it is). i do LOVE the song so it'd be great to see it doing well, but i refuse to raise my expectations for it too much~

(it's got zero chance of #1 though, especially up against a new Calvin Harris single)

I know a lot of people don't agree with the release strategy of Duke Dumont but I'm really hoping it can be a genuine long running hit, it really is utterly fantastic!

I really wanted Mausi to be a late summer hit when I first heard it ages ago, shame the whole thing has ended up being such a mess and it's doing precisely nothing. :(

I hope it is too and it might be but it will depend on how well it does on the streaming chart because as we can see a long held back hit just helps to stifle sales in an age where people don't need to wait and buy it 6 weeks after they've first heard it.

So is the new Calvin single premiering next week on radio?

I've no idea really, but i'd assume it would be

very surprised they're going for this type of release (unless it's all just a tease; where it'll premiere next weekend and the release date gets pushed back to November lololol)

So pleased G.R.L are doing so well - Neon Jungle and The Saturdays take note!

You know I'd pass out if that happened

I think its a genius strategy - a name like Calvin will always get a lot of takers anyway but to get a preorder selling for a few weeks before then release it at the same time as it's premiered it'll get high up the chart alright - hope its good and does well for him!

So pleased Rather Be has been sang on the Xtra Factor :D back on the up next week.

Xtra Factor won't provide much of a boost :P

41. Mr. Probz "Waves (Robin Schulz Radio Edit)"

43. Ed Sheeran "Sing"

Just noticed how low both of these tracks are, yet still so high in the official chart - the power of streaming; must be adding a good 2.5k to their weekly totals.

Waves also has a 2nd version top 100!

Both of them are still in the top 30 on the sales-only chart also.

I'm also not a fan at the moment of 'Won't Look Back', get VERY 'Ride on Time' vibes. However I thought similar thoughts when Sub Focus' 'Turn Back Time' came out and I grew to adore that, so who knows.

Oh and not a fan of the G.R.L song either :( Obviously sweet message but the chorus just falls flat for me and the lyrics are a bit cringe in places.

'Prayer In C' for second week at #1!

I've noted that comparison in my head all along, glad someone else has picked up on it! However I've been enjoying the track, so I'm happy it's heading to #1!

Anyone know who sings the vocals or if it's a sample?

Yolanda Quartey from Phantom Limb who also provided vocals for Sub Focus' Turn Back Time and Chase And Status' Blind Faith

Duke Dumont will have a hefty lead in the first mids IMO with all the weeks of preorders!

By Jasmine Walla of The Only Way Is Essex ""fame"" she wasn't very good.

The Script doing well on the back of successes by Maroon 5 and OneRepublic is amusing too, I didn't think all three MOR bands would get T5 hits in near consecutive weeks.
I would love for them to get a hit usually, but I'm bored of The Script now! OneRepublic and Maroon 5 have at least experimented with their sound and taken a much more diverse route, rather than sticking to the same old formula! So I'm kind of annoyed that 'Superheroes' is being a hit. They need to learn that they can't just release any old thing as the lead single and get a hit. :( TAKE A SLIGHT RISK and develop with your sound, at least. :(

This Script song is awfully dull and forgettable, heard it on Radio 1 earlier as the chart breaker but forgot how it went minutes after.

On the bright side, it's more pleasant than Maps.
