Yeah sadly Sigma have never been a streaming fave, they were of course denied a #1 with Glitterball, lost out on a top 5 with Higher & again with Cry!

How do you know it's been nailed for Drake if he's number 2 today?

Well he's climbed from #4 in the update & a bigger deficit in previous weeks yet still made it plus that iTunes boost at the weekend would have been an extra increase in itself.

Drake's weekly direct debit to the Official Charts Company hasn't hit the bank account yet but the payment should be received by Friday.

Drake, putting food on the OCC's table since April 2016!

poor brave kungs  ~ it's looking increasingly likely he's going to get stuck behind drake until his chance has passed :snif:

omg @ radiohead ~ 1-4-18-29-53-85-1- would be quite the chart run *.

Streaming is killing Sigma and Take That. Cry is selling well in paid for sales but losing out to streaming.

6 The Neales - I'll Be There [!!!!!!!!]

14 Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own

Two acts from the Britain's Got Talent Class of 2015 doing well here. The Neales is a surprise. I'm aware it's a charity single and it only sold 21k last week largely because all Tesco stores had it on sale for £1 apparently, but to rise even further is good going. Calum Scott looks to be a slow burner, he's been hanging around the lower reaches of the top 40 for weeks, so I'm glad to see he's troubling the top 20 now.

Maybe Take That should release a ballad which would attract the audience who would go out and buy a CD single, enough to make up for a lack of streaming. Certainly I don't see that happening with Cry, unfortunately.

Dare I ask where Beverley Knight and Garbage have got to in the albums please

Beverley's Soulville #26

Garbage's Strange Little Birds #87 :(

I'm guessing the vast majority of The Neales' sales were last minute 'that'll do' Father's Day gift purchases  So it would make sense that it's climbed in the current mids - the majority of those sales would have been right at the end of the week, and Friday/Saturday of course count to these mids. It won't sell much more in the rest of the week.

Wow at Radiohead looking like possibly returning to #1 (although I can see RHCP closing that gap as Radiohead's big sales boost from the physical release will be very frontloaded). They get the chance to essentially debut at #1 then quickly trail off twice with the same album :kink:

Thrilled to see Christine And The Queens sitting in the albums chart top 10 at least temporarily! <3

I predict if England do well, "Three Lions" is set for a top 40 placing.

May have to wait another week then

Thought the Manics might make some sort of impression on the Top 100 today but looks like that may have peaked?

NOW 94 track list is due out in two weeks and could end up being #1-less if Drake carries on at the top

Wouldn't 'One Dance' be on there though? Or is Drake one of these artists who don't allow their songs on compilations?

I think he's becoming like Adele, Taylor Swift, Rihanna etc. as one of those artists who doesn't like their music appearing on compilations, hence why "Hotline Bling" never appeared on 92 or 93. Although, Beyoncé doesn't like appearing on compilations even though she's been appearing on them lately

Big drop for Beverley Knight, it appears this album may struggle to match the sales of her previous album which was shy of 35,000 in total.

In regards to Beverley Knight, she's actually holding up so much better than I anticipated. I certainly didn't expect her to hold onto a Top 10 placing last week, with similar sales to her previous opening tally in 2011, and I thought she'd plummet outside the Top 40 this week yet she's currently as high as #26, despite Father's Day boosts and a selection of new entries ahead. I suspect she'll still struggle to hit 20k but I definitely underestimated her.

I know Beverley Knight is touring, probably that's why she is holding up, she even got a gig in Hythe... well Kent, last weekend.

Has that ever happened before? They won't be able to say "featuring ... #1's!!"

Now 16 is the only album in the UK series that has no #1s! So if this were to happen again it'd be the first time since 1989!

update incoming
