Major Lazer, Justin Bieber & MØ should be set for another easy ride to #1 this week, with possible new entries in the shape of The Chainsmokers & Halsey's 'Closer' and Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha's 'In the Name of Love', but perhaps only just scraping the Top 40. Latest singles by Christine & The Queen's, M.O., Anne Marie and twenty one pilots should supply some movement in the charts.

In the albums, the late band Viola Beach should secure a debut at #1, followed by new entries by Billy Talent, Chicane, DJ Khaled, Nao and Simple Minds elsewhere in the Top 40. CHVRCHES may also re-enter following the re-release of their second album Every Eye Open.

Viola Beach are well clear of DJ Khaled at the top of the album charts so far. Hope they can stay there.

On the Album front it does look like Viola Beach will make it to the top this week.

Can see Christine And The Queens getting the Runners-up spot (with the Release of a Special Edition this week).

Also looking like a boost for David Bowie after the Proms tribute/ BBC4 night.

DJ Khaled more of an unknown quantity but will surely be quite front-loaded.

Hoped Viola Beach would get it, they seem to be selling well everywhere (#2 on iTunes behind Now 94, #2 on the overall physical chart on Amazon behind Now 94 and #1 on MP3). Not sure if they will be heavily front loaded though?

Ariana Grande 'Into you' Another likeable song was slayed on the chart due to greedy policy no putting the song openly but forcing people to pay for listening

This just adds to Olly Muirs woeful performance.

Hopefully 'One Dance' was one off case and from now on all the greedy artists will bbe non existing on the chart, I dont want even to hear about them

I assume Bebe Rexha and Martin Garrix will miss out on the top 40 unless they get a huge boost from somewhere - but hopefully the Chainsmokers can enter, provided they continue to climb on streaming and iTunes. offaiah should probably miss out, unfortunately, and that's about it in terms of new entries.

{sarcastic :cheer:}

Into You has a music video... and has had one for 2 months or so

Hoping that Viola Beach get their #1. Also hoping for at least one new entry in the Top 40

Even if none of the new entries gather enough momentum on streaming, I would expect the LVNDSCAPE remix of “Is This Love?” to make the Top 40 as a chart (new) entry. It was #43 this week (up from 46 in the midweeks).

I think The Chainsmokers will enter the top 40 this week actually, it's #19 on iTunes and #68 on Spotify.

As for Garrix/offaiah/Derulo, no chance this week.

but sure the latest 5th Harmony should also be top 40, right? it's #35 on Spotify and #28 on itunes and has been like that for days I think

Please let this drop now, you've been proven wrong but are continuing to push this theory of yours....

-x-

Also go Chainsmokers! would love to see Buzzjack's predictions for it to flop being proven wrong already lol

No way Closer is going to flop, it's getting great reviews and has already 2 million listens on Spotify

It's also #2 in the US iTunes

Yeah it screams 'hit' to me, only issue is it might take a while to reach a peak in the UK since the public/radio are still focused on Don't Let Me Down

True, I don't see it going top ten very soon either

I'm thrilled partly because it will be the first "proper" chart entry for Halsey (she was on Bieber's album track obviously)
