That's the annoying thing if a labour cabinet minister did exactly that it would lead to accusations!
LOL

That is HILARIOUS

Who votes for these buffoons??

The people who won't know about this interview or other equally embarrassing interviews with ministers because the "newspaper" they choose to read won't tell them about it.

We need far better press regulation. Freedom of press shouldn't mean freedom to lie and print outrageous untruths.

I do have a question about that - is it only the UK that has outrageous print media or do other countries have a regulatory body?

I agree we ened one; we have one for on-air media, and Mad May seems to want one for the Internet!

Tim Farron did a fantastic job! He at least clinched my dad's vote for Lib Dems and hopefully some others watching too.

Tim Farron basically finished the Lib Dems chances of doing well with the whole thing about whether gay sex was a sin or not and refusing to answer the question several times.

Anyway it doesn't really matter about the minor parties (apart from the nationalist ones) its really between Labour and the Conservatives and all supporters of the Lib Dems and Greens should support Labour against the Tories for this election imo.

In one word : Why?

Does Corbyn really seem like a credible Prime Minister?

My housemates are voting Tory because "she's the prime minister anyway and she's started Brexit stuff so might as well finish it" dear lord some people shouldn't be allowed to vote

By that bizarre logic, all other parties might as well disband and just leave everything to the Tories for ever.

Other countries don't actually have outrageous print media. I became even more angry at the likes of the Daily Fail existing when the worst mainstream media in the likes of France and Belgium merely stoop to the level of the Independent online or the Telegraph, and I believe it's the case in other European countries.

The Independent is really annoying me because I constantly see their click-baiting headlines on Facebook due to people liking them who clearly haven't read the article.

Yeah it's awful in an entirely different way. At least it's not trying to stir up hate.

In my opinion as someone who won't be voting for his party (although that's due to where I am more than anything else, because it is a Lib Dem-Tory fight and any vote for Labour just means my Tory MP will have a safer ride home), yes he does. The campaign trail has shown him to be inspiring and he has policies worth getting behind. And if we're going on a metric of 'credibility' I'd say the same about May who's just revealed herself to be pretty hopeless, bland and uninspiring on said campaign trail, not Prime Minister material at all.

But it's not a leadership election, it's a general election. It's not all about the leaders. If a local MP is good, then it's probably worth voting for them.

May was in Wrexham today and my brother, a journalist in Wrexham, was quite glad he didn't have to cover it.
Theresa May's interview with Andrew Neil hasn't gone down well at all on social media. Granted a lot of the negative opinions and such are from labour voters and social media does seem to skew more to labour's favour. Will be interesting to see what Jeremy Corbyn's interview is like.
Well at least the tories are now 10% behind labour in wales according to ch4 news!
Advice to any potential political leader - NEVER go into an Andrew Neil interview unprepared. He will forensically tear you to pieces if you don't know what you're talking about. I've only started watching the Theresa May interview, and she definitely hasn't brought her A-game, even those on the right seem to think she didn't go down well.

The Scum and the Daily Fail COMPLETELY ignoring the U-turn on their front pages tomorrow whilst the Daily Express states 'May listens to her critics' which isn't even the main headline.

The Scum even has an 'exclusive' that solely blames Corbyn and McDonnell for the IRA attacks.

The behaviour of these papers is actually despicable.

That 'exclusive' s DISGUSTING. Can we not ship the sun off to some dictatorial regime? They obviously want a One Party State.
