This week could well give us our first female solo #1 since Adele's Hello! (Or first female artist #1 since Shout Out To My Ex).

We have cool new British breakthrough female Dua Lipa or iconic hit-machine P!nk fighting for it. Who do you back?

Neither is not an option, sorry.

AMCAMDAM DUA!

But the thought of an all female top 2?? :shakingcheeseblock: (obvz that 'Unforgettable' rubbish and probs 'Feels' will prevent P!nk from debuting top 3 or something, but still, a top 5 debut?? Incredible!

New Rules #1 this week with Pink debuting Top 5 if her sales continue as they currently are
100% Dua. We need some more British names at the top of the chart. Also it's a song I've really not heard anything like in the charts and that going #1 would really help break the trends atm

Difficult because I adore Pink and would want her 100% at #1 but with the momentum and everything plus the fact that it's a banging tune, I'd prefer Dua for this week. I think it would be really cool for Dua to get her first #1 especially with a 5th single from the album.

Next week tho I'd like either Dua for 2 weeks or Pink at #1 & then hopefully Taylor can release and *maybe* get her first #1 *.*

I love both the tracks - New Rules being one of the best songs this year for me. If she can be top next week and then Pink to build momentum to swap places that would be grand :D
I wasn't sure whether we were supposed to voting for who we want or who we think will be no.1. I voted Pink as the former but I think it'll be Dua.
Everyone ignoring Louis Tomlinson now i-tunes top 5 and top 20 on Spotify

Yup because he will probably scrape top 10 this week and isn't challenging for the top

I'm probably on my own, I haven't been keen on Dua's material, she is not my typical music genre, but I would love to see her get her first #1 over P1nk. P!nk track I find it pretty average, so I opted for Dua, to keep it British. P!nk will probably grab it a week later though.... methinks.
I want P!nk but think Dua will nab it. Don't like the song but to see a new artist, especially a female one, to be #1 in this year of male domination would be nice.

Really rooting for Dua. Such a surprise hit for her this far into the album campaign, especially after the last single bombed.

I expect P!nk to take the top within a few weeks as streaming builds, whereas I don't think Dua will get a better opportunity than this week.

Either way, this is the first exciting chart battle this year for me. Will be happy with either of them getting it.

Dua Lipa's whole album is great. I thought Lost in your Light and Hotter than Hell both should have been much bigger smashes. Really want New Rules to make it.

Would love Pink to grab #1 the following week.

Dua 1000000000000000%, it would be my favourite #1 since Roar and possibly even earlier, it's one of those songs I can just feel is THE SONG, and will be an all time fave but obviously it's too early to definitively say that about a song that's less than a year old. Considering all year #1 has been hogged by males (apart from features from Zara, Katy and Rihanna, who are all big names) and established artists (ik DJ Khaled isn't on a level with Calvin, Ed Sheeran or Harry Styles) but with Justin Bieber on board for one song and Rihanna for the other he's hardly working from the bottom), for a new rising artist to get a #1 with her 7th single from the album would be incredible. Not to mention the quality of the song, when we've just had bloody Despacito #1 for nearly 3 months on and off mostly becasue Justin Bieber is on it. She had an uphill struggle to this with ehr album being delayed something ridiculous like 4 times, despite her having a gold single with Hotter Than Hell before Be The One was re-released as the album lead, but it just goes to show sometimes all you need is a brilliant pop song and a bit of star quality, and Dua has both of those by the bucketload.

The Pink song isn't as good by any means but I think she has a chance to get a #1 in the coming weeks although it is lookng likely for Taylor to drop and now she's back on good terms with Spotify she feels like one of the few artists who could debut at #1 nowadays. For Pink to debut top 5 even, 17 years into her career, against big names and budding stars, is incredible even if she doesn't get #1.
