WELCOME to the opening of the 100th Buzzjack Song Contest, held solo in Unovia for the first time ever following Francesca Michielin's victory on Medhelnian soil with Vulcano :cheer: We have previously co-hosted three times as allies of Ultraviolenceland, Kylienips and FARC, but the honour of hosting the milestone hundredth contest falls solely on Unovia! So get ready to help us celebrate one hundred contests in style *.*

Provisional dates

Confirmations: 16th October - 23rd October

Reveal ceremony: 24th

Semis: 25th October - 1st November

Semi results: 2nd November

Final: 2nd-8th November

Final results: 9th November

Of course subject to change due to how long the entries take to go through veto, the plans I might have bc obv it's half term and Halloween and I don't want results to clash with what everyone will be doing for Halloween, plus it's my housemate's birthday on the 1st but that's the gist x

SO excited for this landmark edition  I am planning to recycle an artist who DNQed as they are too good to have such a poor legacy in BJSC. This song appealed to me even more than that one with its glowing synths and gripping build-up, can't wait to send it! It is quite special to me for reasons that will become clear when it's revealed so it felt right to send it to this contest.

Oh my! I bet that was a painful experience. We all know there are a considerable number of nipping crabs about the place in Kylienips! :drama:

Bring it awn ~

The Persephonian BJSC Committee has won a two year long legal battle with PC Music to obtain the rights to a song from their back catalogue just in time for this momentous occasion. *.*

A very unique voting window for this contest then! I like it cos we get a full weekend of listening time.

*.* Happy 100th (or C keeping up with tradition) guys! Really hyped for this, hope we get a record number of participants here.

I'm going New Age this time, gonna go all out and send possibly one of the most epic instrumentals I've ever sent :o Hype~

First full contest as a mod, and what an edition to have as the first one!

I'm picking between two tracks at the moment, a dark RnB/Synthpop that would be the kind of think I imagine Pupok would send and come about 9th with and an all out pop stomper that's kinda Carly Rae Jepsen adjacent (so naturally I love it!).

You have practically given away your artist name, which shouldn't be allowed!!!! :o

I've got a punk potential, one that's slightly less rock, and then another that's subtle electronica which will for sure DNQ but I love the artist so I'm kinda looking into their back catalog for something :P All of these have something in common which is the theme I'm going for.
I haven't revealed anything. :P It's just a lil hint.

A massive too big a hint I would say!

Oh wow at it being up already!

Haven't got a clue now what to send as I've got second thoughts (& possibly over rating my tracks success when it could flop on its arse) time to be wise with this contest :P

I was planning to send a classic from 1984 for this contest but this has now been replaced by the song I told you last month I had just discovered and was addicted to. I'm not playing it quite as often now but I'm still in love with it. It has everything I like in a song:power, beauty and emotional lyrics.

Well it's only the 100th milestone contest so, everyone is going to be sending what sounds like a qualifier so there's no point in me trying tbh

HOWEVER I am excited to hopefully send something very me.

Well I am going to be sending one my favourite 80's song, which I think will represent the quintessential Quintessan sound. It's both new wave and synthpop, and should be fine with the veto. If not I have a Lithuanian 80s sounding back up which nobody's heard of.
