I assume their "non-eligible" sales have been made eligible.

Ariana and Leona would be looking at possible top 40 entries this week but both are on ACR.

I thought Leona was switched back to SCR? Perhaps a mistake? Hopefully it'll be back on SCR next week with the increase in sales this week likely being 50%+.

Glad to see "Beautiful Trauma" top 40 in the singles chart and the album top 5. :cheer:

Sam Smith will probably be #1, and u2 will fall short maybe end up at 40k with Sam doing 45k+

Poor result for U2, but it serves them right! The new stuff has been terrible! Gutted Pete Tong is looking to miss the Top 10. I hope it can climb later like his last album did.

Mariah Carey as high as number 4 right now its wonderful, it would be brilliant if she could retain a top 5 position this week but i am happy to say a top 10 return is certain right now. Big jump for so many of the classic Christmas songs already. In Christmas terms of the chart, Gwen Stefani should be able to do enough to register an official chart entry for her Christmas album.

Poor Rita Ora, she finally overtakes Camila but now Ed Sheeran is the front runner. Last week truly was Rita's last chance at number 1.

Louis Tomlinson looks in trouble with his latest release and will be lucky to secure a top 40 position at the current rate he is performing. That said, i really enjoyed his first 2 singles but find this one very disappointing but would still like to see him achieve another top 40 as he is the underdog of One Direction.

This relates to the Albums charts from a few weeks back but as the relevant sales thread has been archived I don't know where else to post it. In an article about the Stereophonics in the new issue of Music Week the following appears:

Scream Above The Sounds came painfully close to being Stereophonics’ seventh UK N0.1 album, losing out to Michael Ball & Alfie Boe’s Together Again by just 35 copies. There was more to the story than met the eye - a mobile ticket bundle utilised by the band was ruled to have breached chart regulations, resulting in hundreds of sales being discounted.“ We were disappointed that the OCC took that decision,” sighs Leonard.

I don't think this was made public at the time. Or at least I can't recall seeing it a few weeks ago.

Maybe the mods can post the above in the relevant sales thread, just below the sales list posted by Martin?

Gwen sneaking into the mids top 40 again, where is Sia?

Back up to #63 - hope it can continue to rise.

Is Tommy Blaize somebody famous?

Just asking because he's released an album of obvious cover versions and I'd never heard of him until I saw the CD in Morrisons a couple of hours ago.

Mariah coming for that 23 year belated chart topper

This would be my ideal Christmas number 1. Outside this song im not a Mariah Carey fan but this is Christmas heaven.

Matt Terry plummeting to number 88 and likely to leave the top 100 this week, its likely he will be dropped as quick as this week from Syco.

Mark Feehily (Westlife) has a Christmas album out, its number 93. Westlife really haven't managed any great deal of solo success among the five of them.

He's the main male singer on Strictly Come Dancing

All the George Michael Facebook groups are going to mass download last Christmas from the 15 th December, interesting.

Whats Mariah's peak for All I Want?

Google says it peaked at number 2 in 1994.

U2 sales are extremely poor for the time of year. At this point, it is a question if they can stay top 3.
Oh ouch at those U2 sales. What happened to their fanbase? Guess we're being set up for a return to #1 for Sam and then either him or Ed will likely get the Xmas #1 album but on shockingly low sales.
Such a shame Rita Ora is still no2. It would have been no1 this week if it wasn't for the Ed Sheeran duet release which is abysmal and ruins the original song.
Beyoncé not being credited is ridiculous, especially when the duet would hit number 1 on its own without the solo version. So on the charts, Beyoncé won’t be represented at all despite it being her that made it go to number 1... shocking.
