Never been a massive fan of Cher's voice oops, also, Ms Dynamite. And Charli on her more shouty/pop songs is just too loud for me altho her more alt stuff is wonderful.

Adele Chasing Pavements was her best song for me, after that I could not listen to her

Nickelback dude and Arthur have that growl as if they're chronically constipated, Dronan's just wholly unpleasant 😥

I'm sure she's a lovely person and talented and I don't really consider myself to have a 'least favourite vocal in music' but I am another one who will mention Florence :') I've enjoyed a handful of the songs (where maybe the vocal doesn't bother me) but overall I don't enjoy her voice.

Maybe a more unusual one but I'm not a fan of Mel C's voice. It's too saccharine for me and I noticed especially on her solo stuff, in Spice Girls she's okay but that's cause it's not usually more than 4 lines in a row solo.

Allie X and Demi Lovato can be pretty pitchy even if the songs are top notch.

Demi Lovato is definitely one I would call overrated. Coming across her on American forums the delusion is real. Sure she has a great range and power but the interest ends there.
Jason Derulo and singers with a similar tone, it's ridiculously stylised and fake and I just hate it. Anyone that sounds like they're trying to show off "how good their voice is" when they sing which can include oversinging (already mentioned). It just kills songs and only screams that the singer has a massive ego and the song is only there as a vehicle for them showing off their "amazing" voice, Jessie J is of course a prime example. There's a time an a place for vocal acrobatics *used sparsely* at the right moments because that way it's actually impressive, people want dynamic range and progression throughout a song, not full intensity the whole time. If a singer's trying to show off their voice the whole time it'll 1: mean that it's not a special moment since it's happening throughout the song 2: it makes it sound like they're overcompensating not having a very interesting tone by overstylising their singing rather than just singing honestly and 3: they're overpowering the rest of the song and making it solely about the singing when vocals are - while an important aspect - still just one aspect. Unless it's acapella or karaoke the vocals should somewhat blend with the mix, not sit above it.

Tate McRae

Ellie Goulding in certain songs

Sam Smith in certain songs too as they sound like they've got a cold

And last but by no means least... bloody CILLA

Florence from those already mentioned.

Patrick Stump's vocals grate on me in doses too but then again it hasn't stopped me liking the Gym Class features I guess.

I got told off for saying this recently, but Joy Division/Ian Curtis

Love Will Tear Us Apart is such an amazing song, but Ian Curtis cannot sing on it. I

I also personally struggle with AC/DC. The screeching voice

Cannot stand the following voices:

Lewis Capaldi

Morgan Wallen

Olivia Rodrigo

Gracie Abrams

Tate McRae

Beabadoobee

Playboi bloody Carti

Benson Boone (when he's shouting)

Kelly Jones (with some exceptions)

Liam AND Noel Gallagher

Any voice when it's on an overplayed Christmas song (unfortunately Mariah and Ronnie Spector are at the top despite liking their voices otherwise)

Bon Scott or Brian Johnson?

Or both?

Cilla Black is the right answer here.

Also -

Suzi Quatro

Cher Lloyd

Heather Small

Axl Rose (not when he sings low though)

Yoko Ono

Phil Collins

Celine Dion

Marilyn Monroe

Jay Kay

And all the 'vocal acrobatics are the best gang' -

Whitney, Mariah, etc

More Scott

Although I like her, I can sort of see it with Olivia as she does that breathy/cursive thing sometimes (although not to the extent of key offenders like Webb and McRae)
