6.5 million viewers on iPlayer — did they even expect it to be such a success? Deserved.

Auditions closing so soon! They must be filming this earlier than they did season 1?

i work in quite a middle class office and EVERYONE is talking about it or at least knows about it. it's been promoted fantastically and seems to be resonating to an audience WAY past what i expected. this season is a definite return to form for the franchise.
So happy it's been renewed, but never had any doubt it would be! Huge success that everyone is talking about!
So happy it's been renewed  The first season has been done so well - the streaming figures on BBC iPlayer don't surprise me! It'll hopefully be at 10 million+ by the time the series ends.

love that! any idea when this will being airing? It's close to a year since the first series began airing. Although I know there were delays in filming thanks to COVID.
Filming is starting again next month according to Alan Carr! So maybe airing just before Season 13 of US Drag Race?

Omg that judge will be so fitting lmao

I hope they address the filming break in the show itself. I think they filmed up to episode 4 or 5 before covid halted production

Yeah, they've filmed four episodes, they're going back at the end of November to film the last four episodes but I believe they still want to push ahead with airing it in January before S13 and AS5, from what I understand.

So if it does air in January then I guess we will get announcement for the cast in like December?

Same

There is a good opportunity to work it into their first maxi challenge or runway — something to do with showing the growth they've made since hiatus.
