And another shocker in my eyes. :o 'SOS' falls out in fifth place meaning 'Teenage Dirtbag' has continued to exceed expectations and has now made the quarter-final. :o 'SOS' was released in April 2006 and gave Rihanna her second #2 less than a year after her first. The song was instrumental in establishing Rihanna as a reliable hit-producing artist as it helped her shed the dreaded one-hit-wonder status and also gave Rih her first US number one. 'SOS' was one of many songs held off the top by Gnarls Barkley in the spring of 2006 but managed a fortnight at #2 nonetheless. It isn't one of Rihanna's big hits I often revisit but it's a fantastic pop song that successfully incorporates the 'Tainted Love' sample. A triumph! :heart:
