Out in ninth place is Afroman with his 2001 hit 'Because I Got High'. The song reached number one in the autumn of 2001 where it stayed for three weeks. The song was also a top 20 hit in the US, reaching #13. Afroman managed a UK #10 follow-up with 'Crazy Rap' (which I'm guessing no one remembers - I don't :lol:) before fading into obscurity. 'Because I Got High' definitely feels like one of those novelty one-hit-wonder tracks, and one I enjoyed as an innocent seven year old thinking the words were nonsensical (surely every other child believed he was singing about climbing up high? ) Buzzjack aren't hear for it though and it is the second song in a row to get over 40%.

Vile song! Glad to see the back of it!

I’ve gone with the Darkness. I really like it but it’s a Christmas song. I don’t know why that justifies my vote, perhaps I feel like it’s less deserving of being in this list than the others?
