October 5, 20205 yr Lana!! I didn’t realise she’d be charting as an album idk why but I didn’t realise she was eligible for the chart with it. What a busy week! I expected Amanda to be above Mel C! I thought BLACKPINK may have sold more than what they have though. A lot of the albums out aren’t really to my taste but I’m glad that the album charts getting a big shake up this week.
October 5, 20205 yr Top 20 albums minus #11 are practically all new apart from Oasis  Loads of album new releases :o
October 5, 20205 yr So that's an albums top 20 full of new entries / re-entry for Oasis, except for #11 (Pop Smoke?)
October 5, 20205 yr Wow at the album charts, all new apart from oasis. Why are oasis at 2 anyways have I missed something? Hope Mel C can stay top 10 but what a tough week
October 5, 20205 yr So that's an albums top 20 full of new entries / re-entry for Oasis, except for #11 (Pop Smoke?) 11 is Pop Smoke And a Xmas album from Dolly Parton
October 5, 20205 yr Wow at the album charts, all new apart from oasis. Why are oasis at 2 anyways have I missed something? Hope Mel C can stay top 10 but what a tough week Oasis have released a 25th anniversary vinyl Edited October 5, 20205 yr by ___∆___
October 5, 20205 yr wasn't really expecting the Lana poem thing to chart but just checked and it's available in like 5 different vinyl colours :D
October 5, 20205 yr Oasis sales may trail off as they would prob have alot of pre orders but didnt expect it to be as high with such good sales, looks like Bon Jovi wont come even close to number 1 and could end up selling less than their last album which was about 21k, i was expecting this album to sell more for some reason. I am nervous for Mel C, its a good start but i just hope she can hold on, its likely Amanda Holden and at a guess Lana Del Rey will overtake her but i think she should stay ahead of Roisin Murphy and 21 Savage. I think Mel will need loads of plugging and possible price reduction is she is to hold on and complete against Blackpink for example.
October 5, 20205 yr I was thinking when reading that OCC article earlier there's surely no way Bryson Tiller and 21 Savage would be outside the top 40 especially if BLACKPINK were as high as #27 - that seems rather strange for them to just neglect to mention both of them, especially when 21 Savage also has 2 other songs in the top 40? :') (Of course D-Block Europe's new entry was also not mentioned, but for that there's at least the excuse that it had already been covered in their First Look article). Happy to see 21 with all 3 of his eligible songs in the top 40 for now anyway, although the lower 2 are probably at risk of dropping out since his streaming numbers have fallen off fairly quickly. Incidentally I'm about 95% sure 'Snitches & Rats' shouldn't be up there as it wasn't particularly close to being his 3rd highest song on streaming - I'm assuming it's been incorrectly combined with 'Snitches & Rats (Interlude)' which as far as I'm aware is entirely different apart from sharing the title  Hoping that 'SAVAGE MODE II' can hang onto the top 10 as well, it'll obviously fall behind Pop Smoke but it has a good chance of overtaking some of the sales-based new entries that are currently ahead of it since the numbers look pretty close. No matter what though it'll easily be his highest album chart position to date after his previous charting releases getting #42, #41 and #33 so still a pretty good outcome there! 18 new entries in the midweek top 20 seems... kind of unprecedented! Did not occur to me at all just how busy this week was for moderately popular new releases :o I also didn't realise that Oasis had another physical re-release, blocking Bon Jovi from adding to their #2 collection  (although seems like there's a decent chance Pop Smoke will end up ahead of Bon Jovi by the end of the week anyway, looks like a significant dropoff in first week sales since their last album). Looks like this is probably the end of the road for Lewis Capaldi's consecutive top 10 run. Lol at the Lana poetry album making an appearance ~
October 5, 20205 yr come on Bon Jovi, start selling cassettes for 1 pound :D have to admit it's a bit bizarre that the OCC article excluded all the rap newies hahaha no one likes Drake anymore :D
October 5, 20205 yr Oasis would have been Number 1 if they put it out last week. That would have been a great 25th anniversary for it.
October 5, 20205 yr Wow I'm floored at seeing 18 new entries in the Top 20, surely that can't have happened before! I wonder how many of them will end up remaining in the Top 20 come Friday? Poor start for The Hunna's new album at 35, but then again there are 23 new releases ahead of it  it's easily the weakest of their three albums so far though so I'm not entirely surprised (their first two albums made #13 and #12). Kinda gutted Bon Jovi are going to miss out on Top 2, potentially even Top 3, although with all those new entries it's anyone's guess who's going to end up higher than who by the end of the week!
