October 8, 20205 yr Yeah I usually associate girl group with very poppy music, I wouldn’t say HAIM was a girl group in the same way I wouldn’t say AC/DC were a boyband.
October 9, 20205 yr A girlgroup/boygroup is a group of girls/group of boys. A girlband/boyband are group of girls/boys that play instruments. So HAIM would fit under both categories whereas acts like BTS, Little Mix, BLACKPINK, One Direction are best described by the former phrase(s).
