October 5, 20205 yr Oh my but he said he'd retire once he'd had children :o stick to your word, Ed!!! Sufjan not doing that well, read on his forum that he's only on 2K so far :/
October 5, 20205 yr A year of no new Ed music then. I don’t even mind him that much tbh it’s just the over exposure. At least the three track rule happened though and probably got invented because of him tbh  Adele and Ed for the Q4 battle next year? Unless she’s saving 2020 who knows!
October 5, 20205 yr Of the 200 albums in the top 200 right now, Oasis currently have the 10th most streamed album of the week. Queen have the 165th most streamed. How is Mariah doing if I may ask?
October 5, 20205 yr Ed vs Adele if they released in the same week would be interesting  I think my money would be on Ed
October 5, 20205 yr my money would be totally on Adele, the last Ed album was a bit of an under-performance, still on 750K, Adele's 25 did 800K in 1 week. this is what Ed said about retiring when having babies: ED Sheeran has revealed he’ll quit music as soon as he has children. The 26-year-old singer, who announced on Saturday that he had become engaged to his longterm girlfriend Cherry Seaborn, admitted that he’ll be stopping in order to be a “good father". The star, who previously said he wanted kids before he turns 30, told the Daily Star: “My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids. "I am going to be like, 'I do not really care anymore as I have another life to take care of'. "It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, 'I want to be a good father'." Ed has made no secret of being broody in the past, and in 2016 he said he wanted to be a dad "like, last year".
October 5, 20205 yr I really wouldn't compare No. 6 to a normal Ed album (though let's not start this debate again after last year )
October 5, 20205 yr I'd say Adele too, but the days of anyone doing 500k+ sales in a week are long gone - too many people have switched to streaming now and you can't get weekly sales like that there. On the singles chart, it looks like Tick Tock may have missed its chance of going Top 10, unless it happens as a result of several songs going to ACR in a couple of weeks, or it gets a big change of momentum on Spotify (it did less than half of Head & Heart yesterday).
October 5, 20205 yr A year of no new Ed music then. We’ll probably get the first single around July next year if the albums out this time next year. Plus I wouldn’t rule out him popping up as a featured artist somewhere between now and then.
October 5, 20205 yr A year of no new Ed music then. Means that when Perfect drops off the chart we will have only the second week without Ed having a song in the charts since he dropped Shape of You and Castle on the Hill in January 2017 nearly 4 years ago!
October 5, 20205 yr 18 new entries in the top 10 is insane! That fall for Idles as well! I would say impossible 🤭🤭🤭
October 5, 20205 yr that new version of Put Your Records On gonna be top 40 on Friday definitely. I don't mind it. Its so hated on here dunno why.
October 5, 20205 yr Oasis have released a 25th anniversary vinyl 2 in fact, a silver vinyl version and a picture disc.
October 5, 20205 yr I'm interested at how Dua has reached #32 when she's not doing so well on Spotify and itunes!! Edited October 5, 20205 yr by Thomas
October 5, 20205 yr I'm interested at how Dua has reached #32 when she's not doing so well on Spotify and itunes!! video release on friday with Dababy...
October 6, 20205 yr The album chart is well and truly refreshed this week, Lewis Capaldi will leave the top 10 for the first time but i think both him and harry styles will both recover throughout the week. Fingers crossed Mel C can hold on tight in that top 10.
