Out first by a landslide defeat, Ali G and Shaggy's 2002 collaboration received just over half of the total votes. Was it really going to be anything else leaving first? :kink: The song served as the soundtrack to Ali G's 2002 film Ali G Indahouse and peaked at #2 in the UK on release, behind Will Young's Pop Idol coronation single. The song gave Shaggy his biggest hit since 'Angel'. Now with 'Me Julie' out of the way, it will be interesting to see where the popularity lies with the remaining songs: nothing else scored more than 5 votes in Round 1.

I actually really like Take A Bow and consider it one of the best midtempo ballads of the decade. Shame it's on the chopping block so soon.

I thought that my dislike of 'Take A Bow' was another one of my classique hot takes but I'm glad to see I actually have a good amount of backing for this one!
