That was not worthy of a double shantay, Kandy did WAY too much and Symone outshone imo! Ugh. Read the room RuPaul!

So disappointed that Kandy didn’t get eliminated. Disappeared during the main challenge and the runway look was a bit basic

 

Not surprised to see Symone bottom two but she was never going to get eliminated

 

I looooove that Rose finally won a challenge. Overall I think this was a really strong episode (ordinarily I wouldn’t have put Tina in the bottom 3 but the other girls all brought something)

 

Looooved Utica’s outfit in the main challenge and was happy to see that she stood up for herself this week and got the role she wanted (even if Denali outperformed her with the role she was left with)

 

I thought the Anne Hathaway cameo was tv gold - was so lovely to see her interact with the queens and it obviously lit a fire under Denali!

 

I really want Kandy or Elliott to go next - neither is going to win. I’m also finding Tina really annoying with how biased she is being towards her friends - Kandy was poor and you were still talking about how amazing she was....

This season is seriously dreadful.

 

I called a double shantay as soon as that B3 was announced & even when they announced a Kandy elim I immediately assumed "right, this will be a returning queen season then".

 

I just can't believe they literally gave her autotune in her verse and she still did poorly enough to B2.

 

Mik being High again over Utica was also A Choice. & everything in the werkroom at the start was just so unpleasant. I'm so happy Rosé & Denali are friends irl bc they're kinda the only thing keeping me watching this season.

 

On that note Rosé was by far & away the best performer this week. I couldn't get over how Olivia kept missing her lipsynced lines. Rosé was one of the few to nail hers.

Kandy wasn’t given auto tune to help her was she? She was given auto tune as a reference to Womaniser by Britney because thats what the outfit was giving? That’s what I got from it

That lip sync was awful... WTF Ru?

This season is a complete mess.

Like Jupiter, I'm really only here for Denali and Rosé now (and Utica/Symone to a lesser extent). :(

Yeah it’s just Symone Olivia and Utica (and kinda Rose and Denali but not really) keeping me going on this series

 

 

lol as soon as i saw it was kandy vs symone, i was like ...this is gonna be a double shantay whether they deserve it or not.

How the f*** is Kandy still?! Like seriously that has to be the most undeserving double shantay of all time.

 

I really loved the Rusical, probably the best main challenge since Phenomenon for me. It was nice to the the majority of the girls rise to the challenge and perform so well. I actually agreed with the top 3 this and as much as I’d have liked a double win for Gottmik and Denali there was no way anyone could have done anything to stop Rosé. It was the winners role and she had the talent to pull it off and then some. I still hate her runways though, it’s been weeks since she’s worn anything I like.

 

I’m glad Utica pulled through from rehearsals and gave a good performance and was nice to see Elliott to good as well even though I think she g out the worst role there. There was no way she could really shine with it being so dark and hard to see her face but she did as well as she could with it. I think I slightly preferred her taxi look to Tina’s though they were both different enough it didn’t bother me they both had the same concept. As for Tina I was shocked they put her in the bottom 3 all for one slip up? I thought she would be challenging for the top and it seemed they dragging her down for no good reason. She’s really been growing in me the last few weeks so it was a shame to see.

 

Olivia performed well again though I’m getting tired of her eternally happy and excited manner. Can’t deny she’s talented but at this point she’s coming across so one dimensional to me I’m bored of her.

 

Symone and Kandy were the obvious bottom 2, both performed poorly in the challenge with the only difference being Symone looked good on the runway, I thought Kandy’s outfit made her look like a blob and it made her lip sync so messy. As for the lip sync I don’t get why the judges were getting so excited by it when it was pretty meh to me. Symone was far better though and should have been a solo stay. The fact we’ve got to suffer probably another few weeks of Kandy is just so annoying and put a downer on what was one of this series better episodes.

I can’t say I’m mad at some constant optimism from Olivia- it definitely doesn’t come across one note to me at all- it’s the same kind of warm energy Heidi radiated she didn’t need to stop being happy and silly because she was joyous and optimistic and improved the series.

 

Not attacking of course just an odd criticism I think, do you want her to be meaner? more shady? I don’t know- I can’t complain at optimism on a DIRE, miserable, sour series

This was a really good epsiode! I enjoyed the Rusical.

 

I was surprised to see Tina in the bottom over 1 mistake she made though. I thought she did well throughout and had a really good runway for once!

 

I am so glad that Rosé and Denali finally got recognition this week and Rosé definitely deserved the win! I was really happy with Gotmik too as I thought for sure she was going to get outshined by Denali. They were the right top 3. Gotmik's runway was STUNNING - I really enjoyed it.

 

Utica did quite well this week, I thought for sure she was going to fail as she had such fast lines! I LOVED her runway too.

 

Elliot did really well too in what I would say was the worst role out of them all. The dancing was really good.

 

Olivia was good this week.

 

Kandy and Symone were the right bottom 2, both performed poorly. The lip sync was very underwhelming. Symone won it and Ru rightfally called it for her. Ru knew Kandy didn't win the lip sync but I think Ru liked Kandy enough to give her another chance (similar to what she did with Bendelecreme when Darien beat her in a lip sync). I have warmed to Kandy a bit this episode, I just hope she steps it up in the coming weeks.

I really enjoyed the episode and Rusical, but the double shantay really left a bad taste for me. I don't hate Kandy as much as some do, but she bombed that challenge and wasn't even really that good in the lipsync, how many more times is she gonna lie on the floor for half of the lipsync? :lol: Symone is such a brilliant lipsyncer, she gives everything without doing too much and it's easy to really fade when you're next to her. I wouldn't mind so much if I felt like Kandy had a lot more to give, when the best I've seen of her is still her lipsync episode 1. She didn't really deserve the high placements she got for either Bossy Rossy or Hallmark movies, she has had some good runways though for sure.

 

Rosé KILLED it, so I was so pleased to see her finally get her win! I'm glad Denali really brought it too and Gottmik definitely kept up with Denali which was really impressive, so those two deserved the high placements. Being intertwined roles, it would have been evident had one of them not brought it so I'm glad Gottmik took the comments from Jamal and came up to Denali's level. Utica did great too against the odds, wish there been room for her in the top. Elliott did as best she could with a bad role, you could tell she thought about how to I thought Tina was fine but I could see what the judges were getting at, you expected a lot from her recording take and because she was so prominent, you noticed that the energy and character weren't fully there at times. I'd have argued Olivia low to be honest but she did about the best she could with what felt a mediocre role. It was a tough one since only the bottom 2 was bad so it came down to small things!

 

Symone just... didn't get anywhere and Kandy was very go girl give us nothing. I think Symone's part could have been a winning one had she just owned it, I didn't understand the whole "but I don't sing" thing given Utica and Gottmik for example attacked it, plus she won Condragulations?! Maybe it's just one of those weeks she got in her head and couldn't get past it.

I get what you’re saying about Heidi but I feel we saw enough other sides to her personality it didn’t feel like it was an act. It was obvious Heidi was being herself and that what made her so likeable.

 

With Olivia I feel we don’t get that all, especially with her sly, shady moments that I think slightly undermines everything else. I find it hard to connect with her because at this point I don’t real see her as real person, more just a character that’s being portrayed. Of course I get why people do like her, she’s talented and her optimism will likely resonate with some people but for the time being O just don’t see it.

People actually liked that Rusical? One of the worst for me.

 

The ending of that episode genuinely left me speechless too.

I have almost made a terrible mistake by convincing myself that this Rusical was decent. Gladly I came back to my senses. The writers could've done SO much more with the roles but this was a very vanilla and basic bitch take on the biggest social media platforms.

It just came across very old.
