June 14, 20214 yr The Official Charts Company Midweek Sales Flash is in and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are the early frontrunners in the albums chart. The release of retrospective collection Back The Way We Came has sparked customary excitement, and the record has already passed 20,000 sales. Of its 20,190 sales so far, 17,718 come from physical, while downloads account for 1,780 and streams contribute 692. So far, Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour (7,505 sales) is Gallagher’s closest challenger, while the rest of the Top 5 comprises brand new entries. Garbage’s No Gods No Masters (5,075 sales) is at No.3, Jessie Ware’s What’s Your Pleasure (4,602 sales) is rejuvenated by a new edition and sits in fourth spot and Polo G’s Hall Of Fame (3,469 sales) is at No.5. In the singles chart there’s little movement so far, with Olivia Rodrigo’s Good 4 U (30,239 sales), The Weeknd’s Save Your Tears (15,717 sales) and Doja Cat & Sza’s Kiss Me More (13,874 sales) forming a static Top 3. Galantis, David Guetta & Little Mix move 6-4 with Heartbreak Anthem (11,288 sales), while Olivia Rodrigo drops 4-5 with Deja Vu. Source: MW
June 14, 20214 yr Love Again at #93 :w00t: How strange that it’s charting this week, but didn’t last week, I would’ve thought the video boost would be wearing off. Good sign though, considering it’s on almost no playlists.
June 14, 20214 yr Måneskin up to #8! Coming to beat these Eurovision peaks: Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes (#11) [2015] The Common Linnets - Calm After The Storm (#9) [2014] So you’d have to go back to Loreen - Euphoria (#3) from 2012. But those songs are all Eurovision contest entries whereas IWBYS is from a band who participated in Eiurovision but not the entry itself. It's like you could say Engelbert Humperdinck is one of most successful Euro acts ever!
June 14, 20214 yr yass thrilled for Jessie returning to the Top 5! If Marina had got the vinyl out for release week, I’m sure she’d have been confidently Top 10.

I know, I just mean artists who have charted since their appearance, good to see another post-contest top 10 on the cards at last
June 14, 20214 yr oh thought Noel would be on much higher sales funny how Wolf Alice moved their release to avoid Noel but seems like they could have beaten him
June 14, 20214 yr Loads of live albums in those mids. I expect a number of these will be gone be Friday but interesting to see still. Megan only just scraping in at #100 on the singles chart. :cheeseblock: Edited June 14, 20214 yr by GTH

Megan only just scraping in at #100 on the singles chart. :cheeseblock: A shame about Megan :( She seems to need a feature or Tik Tok to do well. Ugh. At least it's a hit in the US which I'm sure she cares more about.

June 14, 20214 yr Appears that Wolf Alice moving their album forward a week may actually have been paying a favour to Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds after all  (still pretty good sales for them but I did think they'd be a little higher, though I guess it stands to reason that there isn't quite as much interest in a compilation and am sure their next studio album will have higher sales again). Was hoping Wolf Alice would still be in the top 5 today but I guess #6 isn't too bad and they may have a small chance of overtaking Jessie Ware by the end of the week? (Should have guessed Garbage would be big enough to beat them this week as well although I wasn't expecting them to be behind Polo G, at least not yet). Also... do I spy what I think I spy at #21 in the albums update... http://i.imgur.com/m8X94d9.jpg (if you know you know, it's too hot to come up with my whole usual schtick, I will save that for the next studio album x)
June 14, 20214 yr Maneskin at 98 with begging, thought kylie might be low top 100 today but not surprised she isnt.
June 14, 20214 yr Is 3 lions on acr? Hope it doesn’t stick around for long don’t think I could bare listening to it get a chart show play 😂 Edited June 14, 20214 yr by LiamSime
June 14, 20214 yr You may want to consider not tuning in then :kink: (it got all the way to #1 in 2018 while being on ACR and is actually doing better at this stage of the tournament than it was doing then).
June 14, 20214 yr So happy to see Jessie Ware top 5! :o Hopefully she continues to sell decently through the week to secure a top 10 placing come Friday. I hope it doesn't do 4-OUT though and manages a second or third week top 100! The deluxe release should push the album ever closer to silver, which it should manage by the end of the year I hope! (It was on ~27k back at the start of February, it should be near 40k by now?).
