November 9, 20214 yr Looks like Taylor is going all out for sales next week, she's put up signed CDs on her store. Considering "Fearless TV" debuted with 21k it will be hard for "Red TV" to be #1 with those or slightly better numbers (since vinyls are available this time around). I wouldn't be surprised if Rod Stewart's new album ends up being her biggest competition (among the new releases).

November 9, 20214 yr Taylor made a TON of signed CDs available (UK Only), more than she has with any other album, snatch that #1. https://storeuk.taylorswift.com/*/*/RED-TAY...NLY/78DY0000000

Really good to have something signed from TS for the collection.
November 9, 20214 yr It would be nice to see Taylor continue her #1 album streak in the UK. And Red was bigger here than Fearless, so I would assume it'd do better generally speaking.

Her signed UK items are usually gone in less than 5 minutes, they’ve obviously made a hefty amount available this time for a good old chart battle :cheer:
November 9, 20214 yr I don’t believe in these tricks to get #1. I also find it majorly disrespectful to fans to encourage them to buy multiple copies of your album. It shows the little regard with which she holds her fans as far as I’m concerned.
November 9, 20214 yr Just nabbed a signed CD. It’s good you didn’t have to buy an expensive bundle to get a Taylor auto

Every album up for contention next week has multiple versions, Taylor has actually dialled it back considerably with just a cd and a vinyl, and now a signed cd.
November 9, 20214 yr Annoying we didn't get any sales info today. Really curious how ABBA are doing daily now.

November 9, 20214 yr I mean fans can just not buy them, nobody is holding a gun to their heads? But she knows they will. A lot of her fans would buy a specimen of her turd if they could. The choice to offer the specimen of turd for sale is her’s. Edited November 9, 20214 yr by MishaB
November 9, 20214 yr All those top artists like Ed sheeran, Coldplay, Adele were afraid to go against each other in the charts unlike Westlife who were going against to acts back in the day Eminem, Spice Girls, Susan boyle, Oasis etc More people will be pissed if their versions of Never Can Say Goodbye, Miss You Nights, Evergreen, When You're Looking Like That in 2000 to 2002 and a pop lead single in 2004 had been released and became realities. That's like 5 more number ones and will keep on saying they released on weak weeks hahahahaha Edited November 9, 20214 yr by myxxd
November 10, 20214 yr To be fair Westlife did some good head to head battles with albums and managed to get the number 1 and a good chart battle i think benefits sales as encourages people who are on the fence to go out and buy an album, im not so sure if people buy into chart battles as much anymore but they are enjoyable when they happen especially if the artist you are supporting wins the battle.
November 10, 20214 yr ABBA Tuesday update - 168,591. Wow! It’s now outsold Ed’s album, which is on 27,337 this week which takes his total to 166,459. (139,107 first week sales but its total was 139,122). Shivers (32,834) is only 305 sales ahead of Easy on Me (32,529).
November 10, 20214 yr 50k sales for Abba since the last update is really really good, 200k looks very achievable now.
November 10, 20214 yr Wow for ABBA! Curious as to how many sales were late orders being shipped and what was genuine sales sold yesterday. Should be reasonably close to 200k by end of week regardless though if not more.
