Sam Ryder is releasing a "Jubilee" signed special of his CD single this week.

Good to see them going for another push, i know it wont help him get a higher peak but its good to give it a sales boost, its great it didnt plummet after the hype of eurovision died down, its holding well, hopefully he can do ok with his follow up single aswell.

forgot bout Frank Ocean - Lost, it peaked at #53 in 2012/3

but then got a rewind recently thanks to Tiktok, even went top 10 on Spotify, but never got a reset

and peaked at #44 on ACR

but it this case in particular, could well be the label never asked cos he's on a different one now and they didn't part ways happily

Hey could someone help me clarify something? I know that theres a certain number of streams that makes a chart sale (i think its 600 paid streams = 1 sale, 1200 unpaid streams make up 1 sale) but with cd singles is it the same? does a certain number of singles make 1 sale or is it 1cd = 1 chart sale?

and is it the same with album chart sales too? i know streams contribute to that but if you buy a cd (or any physical copy of an album) is that 1 chart sale towards the album?

thanks in advance

yes 1 CD single is 1 sale, 1 download is 1 sale

is only streams that don't

kate #1 on spotify with over 800k, so she will get top 10 i guess

aah perfect thanks!

Wonder how high kate will be in todays update. I mean from monday to tuesday she climbed from 73-35 which is huge, would not be surprised to see her in the top 10 by todays update already. I have hope that she has a strong chance of a top 10 finish this week

She’s technically #2 because of her streams being halved and I think she’ll settle for top 20

As a filler for a now...

I'm s massive Kate Bush fan but not bothered about her being reset. It's an old well known legacy hit, not really what the charts are about. If that was reset then wouldn't there be a case of Ed Sheeran to get 'Perfect' reset post Jubilee and jump up the charts don't think anyone wants that.
so not even 2K for Liam after doing more than 10K the day before!

What are the charts about though? No one seems to be able to come up with an answer.

I'd say the most popular music around with a bias to newer, fresher stuff. Not excluding "classics" completely but not allowing them to take over. Apart from Christmas lol when it all goes a bit crazy with the playlists and becomes impossible not to.
I’d prefer the charts had no bias though. It automatically means that it isn’t a representation of the most popular music around.

The charts these days are about manipulation and who can avoid acr the longest :D

The charts have always been manipulated in some way unfortunately, it’s just the way it’s manipulated has changed

However I personally don’t think the ACR rule is fair - as someone said earlier the charts should reflect what’s the most popular (but then of course this is manipulated itself by playlists and radio play)

'Preu' coming to stay in the top 10 even if Kate Bush rises in :cheeseblock:

Latto coming to be yeeted down to #21 again by The Kunts :cheeseblock: (nah am not sure they're likely to rise that much, but guessing they do have a strong chance of top 40 again if they're already back today after dropping out yesterday).
