Announcement expected in 10 minutes. :nocheer: Would the person who is such a self-parody that all comedians wouldn't be able to use her in their jokes win? Although she's expected to have the most right wing cabinet in 100 years if elected so very worrying time even if short-lived.

But not a great result for Pork Markets considering the Right Wing press were very anti Sunak! Less than 60% so not a huge endorsement! Means less authority - your faves could never!
On a serious note I think this guarantees that Labour will win the next General Election as Liz Truss would have no chance with the public.
It's comedic and also very depressing that just when you think it can't get any worse, it somehow does.

Boris Johnson, you were loved from Kyiv to Carlisle *silence before half-hearted applause*

starting as she probably means to go on

Hmm 2nd to Sunak among the MPs

and just 57% share of the vote supporting her among the Tories

Let the Conservative civil war continue

Well, with energy bill payments being a 'prize' on This Morning and then the confirmation of Truss in charge, that was some seriously depressing lunch break TV viewing

Agreed about the energy bills on This Morning - how seriously depressing and not something that should be normalized or taken light of like that. In serious poor taste.

Did that actually happen? Omg horrendous but typical of This Morning.

It’s Holly, Phil and the ITV team all over. Wanting to look like saints.

Surprised how close it ended up being between Liz and Rishi.

I'm hoping she will at least bring forward/make big spending plans to get everyone through the energy crisis but I have no hopes there.

The only good thing I can see is that her being PM makes the next GE a walk for Labour.

I actually hate ITV as a channel if that doesn’t sound too OTT. It’s programming is full of commercialised shite and This Morning is typical of that. Even their morning news is hyperbol and dominated by celebrity stories. It’s like a tabloid paper compared to the bbc!
