Music For A Sushi Restaurant is awful though, wish they had gone for something else from the album.
I don't get why, that's more than had its time in the sun.

Wouldn't promoting a different song from the album be more beneficial? :???:

It wasn't to the same scale but I mean, Watermelon Sugar had already been a notable hit by the time it got a single push. I don't anticipate Music for a Sushi Restaurant to get anywhere near that level of success but if it re-enters the top 40 and helps shift some albums over the festive period then it's job well done surely.

(and there are better songs on the album, I agree, but it's clearly already proven popular so I don't get how it's a bad single choice!!)

'Satellite' being a single when.

(Weird to say it's an awful choice when it's already been so popular of its own accord though! But fair argument that it might be more beneficial for them to try and push something that people don't already know so well)

I like MRASR myself. Certainly over Late Night anyway but does he really need to stick to the same ones that have already charted lmao. Something else could do with a push instead.

And if this campaign's anything like Fine Line, there'll be more to come after this!

Wouldn't shock me if Matilda gets a BRITs performance like Falling did, makes sense to push MFASR in the meantime so there's something on the radio for the festive period.

I love MFASR…I defo think it’s the right choice for the next single and I agree with Joseph that we’ll probably get Matilda as a single next year. MFASR had already done well upon album release indicating that it is a well liked song. I think it will do well enough to keep the album afloat over Christmas.
Taylor's pronunciation of "Anti" surprises me because I thought most Americans pronounce it like Ant-EYE.

That's actually the first thing I thought of when I first heard the song!

That’s an awful choice for the next single if that’s what he’s going with

It’s more backing music for an advert than an actual single. He could have went with much better songs on the album

It didn’t do levitating any harm. Why wouldn’t you plug at a time tv gets the most attention and it would fit so well to any promo adverts. Not expecting a huge resurgence like that but enough to keep the album selling over the season.

One of my faves so happy it is now getting a video.

The title doesn't lie, it's really boring music to have in the background while you eat at a sushi restaurant,
I'm really surprised at the negative reaction to 'Music For A Sushi Restaurant', I remember it getting loads of praise on here when the album first came out.

There's also Perfect by Ed Sheeran. We all know how that went.

Eh I remember it being quite a mixed reaction from the beginning iirc? (I'm a fan of it though, one of only 4 songs on the album that I particularly cared for)

Meghan Trainor deserves higher but with it gaining a lot of traction on TIkTok I'd has potentially top 10 all over it
