Picking up 14 votes it was Westlife's 14th! and final #1 in November 2006, 'The Rose' They were never a band that were long for these things but a lot of that can be blamed on bland covers such as this one. It was originally released by Bette Midler for her film also called The Rose in 1980.

10th Westlife - The Rose (14 Votes Out Of 38) [36.84%]

Be interesting to see when TWG does finally get teamed up on and eliminated lol.

I'll skirt round it again as we're basing on the songs here and I'll vote for Mika. His worst single for me!

Mika because its easily the worst song here (and the worst one he did-what a terrible way to follow Grace Kelly!)

This time it's R Kelly for me. It's an ok song that was ruined by overuse in countless 'journey/'you're through to the next round' montages on X Factor/BGT for years and years on end. I'm surprised it wasn't used as a winner's coronation single at some point, in fact.
I'm actually surprised Blue is in here at all, all the other records here I remember having good chart runs but the Blue track went 4-13-14-18-25-32, so it must have had decent sales while it was in the top 20.
R Kelly - part the song, but mostly that he’s a vile p****. No excuse to leave him in now.

I was always surprised to see it this high in the EOY. Songs with much better chart runs finished lower. I’ve always assumed it had very high first week sales and then sales generally collapsed a bit until Christmas hit.

Blue's single was released in quite a busy week, entering at #4 behind other new entries Mis-Teeq - Scandalous at #2 (50,000) and Richard X/Liberty X - Being Nobody at #3 (43,000). Blue sold 41,000! 99,000 overall in 2003.

41k for #4 was rather high. Just two weeks earlier Dannii Minogue - I Begin to Wonder was new at #2 on sales of 33,000. Dannii sold 97,000 that year, which shows she wasn't as frontloaded as Blue's single. Another comparison, a few weeks later Girls Aloud were #2 and only needed a few more sales than Blue to peak there, it sold 42k. So it seems in less competitive weeks U Make Me Wanna could have been a Top 3 hit.

I actually like U Make Me Wanna. Clearly this a bit of an "out there" opinion but it's my favourite single from their second album.

Voted for The World's Greatest. I didn't overly like it at the time, so even before considering the person he is I would have voted for it at this stage anyway.
