I feel like there hasn't been a REALLY dominant one like there was a few last year...

So my shout would be It Goes Like Nanana by Peggy Gou

Links appreciated in the thread!

Peggy Gou instantly came into my head as well  I may be biased as it's my favourite commercial dance song in a while but I have heard it out in the wild a lot anyway!

In terms of what I've heard out and about, probably 'Miracle'.

My most-played dance song of the summer so far, however, is 'Good Morning' by Timmy Trumpet & Alle Farben ft. YOU!

Miracle peaked well before the summer, Nanana definitely fits 'song of the summer' best.

Yes Miracle feels to me like a track from the spring that just happened to stick around. It also doesn't really have a summer 'feel' to it whereas Nanana sounds like a holiday

I think Afraid To Feel was a big candidate for last year's, re Wardy's question. I would have to put my thinking cap on for further back than that!

Expanding the criteria a little bit, I would say that It could also be considered:

Dimension - Dj Turn It Up

Chase & Status - Baddadan

Sonny Fodera, Clementine Douglas - Asking

Issey Cross - Bittersweet Goodbye

Lf System Dancing Shoes (Take Me Higher)

Fisher & Aatig Take It Off

Kc Lights & Lapsley

Jax Jones & Fireboy Dml Me And My Guitar

Venbee & Rudimental Die Young

Alok & Ava Max Car Keys (Ayla)

Disclosure Higher Than Ever Before Apollo

Turno, Charlotte Plank, Skepsis - Rave Out

D.O.D - So Much in Love

Jazzy - Feel It

I won't Stop by Armand Van Helden could have been one of them if it had been released earlier.

I would say “Dancing is Healing”. It was played 183739393747382 times on the radio.

Most of the public don't know those^

2022 was Afraid To Feel

2021 there wasn't one as the year was dominated by Olivia Rodrigo & Ed Sheeran. Bed or Friday were the closest candidates

2020 was Head & Heart

I think we could talk about two types of summer dance songs: mainstream and club.

and Calvin Harris & Sam Smith - Desire :magic:
