"MOTD" could be only the fourth song ever to start a new run in the Top 3 in three different years, after the obvious two Christmas songs and '3 Lions'!

I'm going to guess the only song to peak at #2 in 3 different years if that happens?

I know Madonna's 'Crazy For You' did that twice!

Really hope Sophie re-peaks at least. What would be the deal with "Murder..." getting say, a limited 7" reprint? Cause she's got her own label now (EBGBs) but presumably it'd be Universal if they did reissue it?

Mariah peaked at #2 in five different years before eventually reaching #1 and Wham! in three.

How likely do we reckon Liam is to sell the additional 5-6k copies he's likely to need to stay top 10?
really thought Busted would be #1 with 12K and Shed Seven would be doing just 3K but alas :D

“This week, Murder on the Dancefloor is predicted to climb the Official Singles Chart once more. Looking to lift from last week's position of Number 8, the track is currently expected to land at Number 3, currently less than 750 UK chart units behind Jack Harlow's Lovin On Me at Number 2 in today's sales update.”

I assume this means that Jack Harlow has pulled further ahead, as the gap was less than that yesterday. Strange to see, considering MOTD is ahead on Spotify, Apple and Amazon - but maybe a result of there being additional versions of ‘Lovin’ On Me’ on Apple and Spotify meaning it is actually ahead of MOTD on there. However, as Sophie is pulling ahead on the streaming platforms across the week, hopefully by the time all of the data is in, she can make it back to Number 2.

Very unlikely in my opinion. Sales are always frontloaded. 11-15 seems likely

Late but wow at the sales for Shed Seven, who'd have thunk. Pleasantly surprised to be wrong about this being another week with an inevitable <10k #1 album.

Would be good if Sophie can get #2 this week but top 3 looking locked in now! Yass at Mason nearing the top 20 too *.*

Looks like it'll be a busier week for top 100 new entries than last week at least.

Teddy Swims' album has been out for a while, did that get a new physical release this week or something? Odd to see it suddenly showing up in the top 10!

Teddy Swims was on Graham Norton on Fri, I think that's why it's suddenly charting

I still think she will get #2 but that is a little confusing

I was thinking along the same lines.

To be fair just checked and Shed Seven's last album despite debuting at #8 did sell 13.3k first week (it was a Q4 release which did still just about mean something in 2017, those were the second highest sales at #8 of the year up to that point), if I'd have bothered to look that up sooner the #1 this time would be less surprising! Though still good on them that they're looking to comfortably beat those sales this time, another benefactor of the vinyl surge perhaps.
Shed Seven must have a decent fanbase, they had variants but not so many, think Busted had much more

Sophie now number 1 on Amazon (I now only have access to one of the two Apple charts).

Yesterday

1 - Lost Frequencies and Bastille

2 - Sophie

3 - Jack Harlow

4 - Noah Kahan

Today

1 - Sophie

2 - Lost Frequencies and Bastille

3 - Noah Kahan (+12, 21, 56, 191)

4 - Jack Harlow (+88, 196)

Interestingly, the clean version of ‘Lovin’ On Me’ is available on Apple and Amazon, but not on Spotify. It’s at 196 on no Amazon and not in the top 200 on Apple. It’s still too close to call between Sophie and Jack Harlow - but as long as she maintains her lead in all three charts, I think Sophie should get that number 2 - but maybe not until that last moment.
