Damn, I shouldn't have used the Planetarium album yesterday  my faves from that are Saturn, Mars and Mercury, but instead I'll go for this one from Steve Lacy:

Day 7 - there must be so many instrumental tracks I love but this is the only one coming into my head at the moment!

Day 8 - just searched all the planets in my 'liked songs' and this is the one that stood out the most:

April 1st – A song you like with a day in the title: Dave & Fredo - Funky Friday

April 2nd – A song by someone who appeared on a TV Talent show: Little Mix - Nothing Else Matters

April 3rd – A song you like that makes you feel nostalgic: Damian Marley - Welcome To Jamrock

April 4th – A song you like with a US state in the title: Mount Westmore - California

April 5th – A song you would have as your walk-on music: Kanye West - POWER

April 6th – A song you like that reminds you of a vacation: Baby Keem & Kendrick Lamar - The Hillbillies

April 7th – A song you like that is instrumental with no lyrics: Eric B. & Rakim - Beats For The Listeners

April 8th – A song you like with a planet in the title: Mobb Deep - Hell On Earth (Front Lines)

Seeming that I've already used Dave which rules out 'Mercury'

Bollocks didn't know you had to do new songs lol, let me have a re-think!

April 1st – A song you like with a day in the title [Challenged by awardinary] - Changed to Saturday night fever (Bee Gees)

April 2nd – A song by someone who appeared on a TV Talent show [Challenged by PeteFromLeeds] - Changed to Call my name (Cheryl Cole)

April 4th – A song you like with a US state in the title [Challenged by Scene] - Changed to I love New York (Madonna)

April 5th – A song you would have as your walk-on music [Challenged by Mack.]

It's just so funky, a dancefloor stormer

April 6th – A song you like that reminds you of a vacation [Challenged by Yobnedor]

When we went to Florida the first time we got a cassette (yes it is that long ago) of the Beach Boys greatest hits from Wallmart for the car and played it non-stop driving around to places, this was the song I loved the most.

April 7th – A song you like that is instrumental with no lyrics [Challenged by Cow P]

Maybe cheating a bit as it is a song with lyrics too but I wouldn't otherwise listen to an instrumental. This is incredible though.

April 8th – A song you like with a planet in the title [Challenged by Jade] - Changed to Mars & Venus [We fall in love again] (Steps)

Welcome Severin. :welcome:

All your nominations seem ok apart from Elton John and Will Young who have already been nominated with those songs for those days, could you pick another please. ^_^

Edit: And sadly I also missed that Tornados was Jade’s submission yesterday oops.

I know its a band name planet but The Mars Volta - Widow I remember someone on Buzzjack saying was musically an unlikely sounding UK top 20 hit so a shout out to that!

This Is It by Melba Moore.

Shockingly always thought it was a Dannii original until about two months ago.

Day 9: A song from the 20th century that you only recently discovered

I discovered this #23 hit yesterday when looking at the 1980 OCC chart archive because of the BMRB 1980 Buzzjack thread

April 9th – A song from the 20th century that you only recently discovered [Challenged by gooddelta]

Thanks to participation in the BuzzJack Song Contest, I was recently able to discover this song (thanks to Singerpurear) and it took a bit of time to grow but quite soon I was able to appreciate it as a piece of musical art from a time before I was alive. I am glad I made this discovery recently.

Cockney Rebel – Sebastian

Released in 1998 by the Japanese multigenre band m.o.v.e. (t-kimura, MOTSU, Yuri Masuda), I've just discovered this song several months ago after watching Initial D (THE drifting anime) for the very first time.

Think this came up in one of my listens to the station playing Top 40 hits non-stop, then later in PopMaster, but had somehow evaded me before that - it reached #9 in 1982:

Happy to see INXS nominated too *.*
