'Puppet On A String' sample?! :o intrigued to hear how that's incorporated!

I may be going bold here because we’ve not heard the song but I’m gonna predict something here.

 

Jade will actually release a solo album!

 

Anyways I’m hyped to see what she brings. I have a real hunch Jade might be the one who manages to showcase some form of personality into her solo releases (and she definitely knows she was a strong following with LGBTQ community as well so I imagine that’ll get people on board too. But I do have high hopes here (she’s a local girl from my school too) so I’m kinda rooting for her in a sense as well but I do think Jade is kind of the most marketable and I think she’s likely going to be the most commercial too. We’ll soon see but I do think she’ll buck the trend.

I hate the music industry in 2024.

 

Pop music used to be so exciting with artists performing their new single EVERYWHERE for weeks and weeks and doing CD signings, all sorts of random TV appearances, in every magazine and newspaper and really being in your face 24/7 and now it's just weeks and weeks (months?) of constant teasing on social media followed by a Radio 1 and Capital interview and that's it.

 

 

I totally see her sampling Puppet On A String, especially in the initial verses. When I listen the first verses I can even hear her with a joking tone and the faces that she posts on social media. Maybe is because I’m anxious about her music but I have the feeling that the song will follow a Wasabi structure. Initial part or speaking part will be the sample with a funny or joking voice , then verses the other song that she shared and chorus the Beyonce inspiration?

 

I have HUGE expectations with her, I really wish she smahs it because for me she is the whole pack. I’m a little bit scared if she went too much with all the inspirations and the song isn’t really commercial … I can see her with a Wasabi vibes, which would be a dream or going I LUVE IT like Camila which would be a massive let down. Let’s see…

From people who’ve heard it already, it doesn’t seem to be commercial. Seems to be oddly structured and “messy” (not in a bad way). Guess she wants to start with a bang to grab peoples attention and play it safer with the second single which seems to be the obvious hit.

Ok I’m officially scared then… sorry but I don’t believe the theory of second hit singles with these girls …

Like I was saying on Perrie's thread, it's about owning your identity and not necessarily going for what is popular. When Billie Eilish came with her style of songs, they weren't exactly popular, but she took off because it was her being unique and not necessarily copying anyone else or any trend.

I mean, Power is kind of messy, but I absolutely love it.

So yeah, Jade can release the "messy" song, as long as it has her stamp and uniqueness, I believe people will listen.

Being "oddly structured" may actually benefit her in some way, as it only takes one brief moment for a song to be used on Tik Tok and go viral. I'm really intrigued by it and if it is indeed 'Angel of My Dreams' and the snippet that leaked... I'm HYPED AF!

 

'Wasabi' isn't exactly the most conventionally structured song for example. I just want it to hurry up! :drama:

Jade is the only one I can see managing to continue a decent solo career without hit singles. Popstars with some creativity and a passion for pop music tend to gather a cult gay following and get an album out regardless.

I wouldn’t go as far as to agree that a distorted clip teaser is better than Leigh-Anne’s first two singles! :lol:

 

I am hyped to hear what Jade gives us. I know that building up the number of presaves is the done thing these days, but from my perspective, those weeks (in Jade’s case, seemingly three weeks) allows the initial hype to simmer down by the time it’s available. Oh well, hopefully it all goes smoothly, and that most importantly the song is amazing.

This looks so promising! I can’t wait! :cheeseblock: she needs to get the physical pre-orders up!

Sure is 19th? Cos in the second teaser she throws this date as well as 12th and let the word soon. Could it be next Friday?
