I hate that song with a passion, but that simply is not true.

Everyone sings along if I hear it played out in a bar for example.

Makes you glad to be sober.

im expecting they'll ship them out this week as its says on/before 3rd may, so fortnight holds at #1. bit shady if they do, especially with the competition being one of taylors close friends lmao. hopefully if they do sab can still grab it next week

Friendship means nothing when it comes to business. Taylor's a businesswoman - she'll want to be No 1 for as long as possible.

They will definitely get them shipped before the chart cut off - the label are obviously thirsty for that 2nd week at #1.

She just got the whole of the top 14 on billboard and sold 2.6 mill on the albums it's narcissistic to pull moves like this. Totally unnecessary CD.

If you don't like the 3 song rule, I can tell you that when the new US Hot 100 is revealed tomorrow, Taylor Swift will have the entire top 14 !!

Taylor was previously the only artist to have the entire top 10 but will extend that tomorrow.

Not every decision you disagree with is narcissism. She's a musician trying to get her song a good performance against the competition. It's that. Sabrina won't be offended at all as unlike forum posters on here - she knows how the industry works.

Whilst it's true she's a businesswoman, I wouldn't be overly surprised if what's happening in the UK singles chart is something she herself is not consciously aware of given everything she's got going on!

They know that it's a new week and the Swifties' wallets sre open again

Yup, that's kinda how a fan base works.

Just purchased the narcissists single.

This probably doesn't even realise there a battle going on, isn't the 3rd the American release date of the single too

I imagine she will get 10K sales regardless from these CDs because of the fanbase themselves wanting to collect it. It’s not strongly advertised except an email for those on the website.

Will 10K be enough to bridge a 200K a day Spotify gap? Not sure how that translates (probably will be if 2K gap after 3 days of tracking, yes the gap is increasing but imagine it’ll only end up about 6-8k ahead by the end of the week)

The most upvoted comment on /r/popheads' thread about Neil Tennant's Taylor Swift comments said 'Blank Space' is her signature song - maybe I'm biased because that's my favourite Taylor song but I think that's a good shout and I'm surprised it's not been mentioned at all in this thread! To be fair I'd probably put it below 'Shake It Off' and maybe 'Cruel Summer' as well, but it's definitely more fitting of the title than most of the other songs that have been mentioned here imo, and I have a feeling it may age better decades into the future than 'Shake It Off' at least.

Obviously the gap will grow a lot by the end of the week but I am surprised to see Pet Shop Boys so close at this stage, really impressive sales for them. Surely they have to get a second #1 album one of these days :drama:

Looks touch and go whether Jess Glynne will stay in the top 10 but she could have been off to a worse start, I really wouldn't have been shocked if she had been well outside the top 10 even in the midweeks, the interest in her music seems to have just totally evaporated.

Cool to see Justice's album starting out in the top 10, their three previous albums all made the top 50 but only one top 40 and even then only #35, would be great if this gave them a new peak.

I'm not a big fan of 'Fortnight' compared to other Taylor songs but I do want it to get a second week at #1 just so that it will have been number one for a fortnight B-)

Sabrina will get it the following week anyway! #streamfortnight

I'm so impressed with the Pet Shop Boys sales though not overly surprised as it's a very good album!

If it wasn't for Taylor having Sabrina as an opening act she wouldn't be in the top 10, look at all her past chartings. As for physicals of the cd they was realised last week in America and this week in the UK.
